Thailand is far ahead of the other listed exporters by reported value and weight. The remaining ranks are by value: Brazil is above Paraguay even though their reported weights are close, and the table should not be read as a volume-only league table.

Value versus weight
Export value measures reported trade value; quantity measures reported physical weight in kilograms. A statement that a country is “largest” should specify which measure and year it means. The tables above rank by value and show weight alongside it, rather than treating the two measures as interchangeable.
How to interpret an exporter
These are reported trade statistics, not an audited census of producers or processing capacity. An exporter entry alone does not establish that all shipments were produced domestically, and the tables do not resolve origin or re-export questions. In particular, the Netherlands’ appearance in both years does not by itself establish why it is listed.

Is there a comparable 2025 global ranking?
The Thai tapioca industry association reports Thai figures for 2024 and 2025 across multiple tapioca-product categories, but those figures are not a comparable global HS 110814 table. They therefore do not establish a worldwide 2025 ranking and should not be compared directly with WITS HS 110814 values without reconciling category and unit definitions. Thai Tapioca Trade Association.
The 2024 WITS table is the latest complete global-year comparison supported by these data. Annual trade records may be updated or revised, so rankings should be quoted with their year and product code rather than presented as timeless.
