As of October 2026, the two bridal-focused options are Stillwhite and Nearly Newlywed. Poshmark is the main general marketplace. Each one takes a different share of the sale, so the cheapest-looking listing is not always the one that leaves you with the most money. Compare the fee structure against your gown’s likely price before you choose.
Bridal specialists versus general marketplaces
Bridal-focused resale sites put your gown in front of shoppers who are already searching for wedding dresses. Stillwhite and Nearly Newlywed both fall into this group. A general marketplace such as Poshmark reaches a much broader audience, but its US fee page does not address wedding-dress demand, so treat it as a general resale channel where you will need to work harder to be found. Neither type is automatically better. The right choice depends on the dress’s price, whether you are willing to ship, and how much of the sale you want to keep.

Stillwhite
Stillwhite’s seller page is on its Australian domain but quotes prices in US dollars, so confirm the currency and any local rules that apply to you. Listings stay live until they sell, which means you do not need to renew them. Stillwhite’s help page says sellers who created an account or listed before November 1, 2025 remain on the earlier commission-free model. If you have an older account, check which terms are displayed to you before you calculate your proceeds.
Nearly Newlywed
The published terms give a clear payout split but do not explain what a premium listing includes beyond the lower seller share. The gap is 10 percentage points of the gross sale. Before choosing premium, ask the platform what additional visibility or service you receive for that difference. The source also does not state a separate fee for premium listings, so confirm the listing cost at checkout.

Fixed fees weigh most heavily on lower-priced gowns. At $1,500, Poshmark and Nearly Newlywed Standard come close together, while at $300 Stillwhite Standard leaves you about $39 more than Poshmark. Run these numbers with your own price and the terms shown for your account.
Check eligibility before you list
- Stillwhite accepts wedding dresses only. It does not accept bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride dresses, wedding accessories, formal wear, or store credit.
- Nearly Newlywed accepts new, sample, and preowned wedding dresses.
- Poshmark: the fee page does not list wedding-dress eligibility, so check its category list before you create the listing.
Set a price that sells
- Look at comparable gowns on the platform you plan to use. Match the designer, style, and condition as closely as you can.
- If many similar dresses are listed, price more competitively. Nearly Newlywed’s guidance is that a crowded market calls for a lower price.
- Work backward from your target net. Subtract the platform’s fees from the asking price, then decide whether the remaining amount justifies the listing.

- The designer and model, when known. If the dress still appears on the designer’s website, link to that page.
- Size, measurements, and color.
- Condition, including any stains, yellowing, loose beading, or wear, described plainly.
- Any alterations, with the date and the name of the tailor if you have it.
- Clear photographs of the full dress, the bodice, the hem, and any flaws.
Ship the dress
- Confirm the shipping process with your platform before you accept an order. Nearly Newlywed describes shipping and insurance support, but the terms are not detailed in the source, so ask how it applies to a gown.
- Get a box. Nearly Newlywed says you can reuse a box at home or buy one from UPS or a store such as Staples. A special wedding-dress box is not established as a requirement.
- Pack the gown loosely in acid-free tissue, avoid sharp folds in the bodice and beading, and make sure the box is large enough that the dress is not compressed. This is general good practice, not a platform rule.
- Ship with tracking and keep the proof of postage until the buyer confirms receipt.
