Jeff Bezos moved from Seattle to Miami in 2023. Published reporting identifies Indian Creek, an island community in Miami-Dade County, as his primary residential base. That does not establish where he is at any given moment—or mean he has only one home: reports describe properties in several states and Washington, D.C.

Where does Jeff Bezos live now?

The clearest public answer is Miami, specifically Indian Creek, according to published reporting. In November 2023, Bezos announced that he was moving from Seattle to Miami. Architectural Digest later described Miami as his primary residence, and the Miami Herald reported in March 2026 that he owns three properties on Indian Creek. These reports identify a residential base, not his real-time whereabouts or an exclusive home.

Bezos said he wanted to be near his parents and his partner, Lauren Sánchez, and that they loved Miami. He also described the move as emotional and said he had lived in Seattle longer than anywhere else, according to the Associated Press report on his announcement.

What is known about his Indian Creek properties?

Architectural Digest reported three Indian Creek purchases between 2023 and 2024. The figures below are reported transaction prices, not current valuations.

Reported purchase Reported price Reported context
August 2023 $68 million First reported purchase, according to Architectural Digest’s 2026 portfolio overview.
October 2023 $79 million Second reported purchase, according to the same Architectural Digest overview.
April 2024 $90 million Third reported purchase; Architectural Digest said it offered a place to stay while work proceeded on the first two.

Indian Creek is a small, private community. The Miami Herald reported in 2023 that it has fewer than 40 homes and a private police force. Those community details do not establish anything about Bezos’s personal security. In the same reporting, real-estate broker Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman described the neighborhood as “a haven for high-profile residents because of the privacy and space it offers.”

Where else does reporting place properties in Bezos’s portfolio?

Published accounts describe a multi-property portfolio beyond Miami. Architectural Digest’s 2026 overview reports properties or holdings in the following locations and distinguishes residences from land used for operations.

Location What reporting says Important qualification
Seattle area An older compound in Medina remains among his reported holdings. Bezos sold a separate waterfront property in Hunts Point in early 2025; that sale does not mean he sold every Seattle-area property.
Manhattan, New York Multiple apartments, including five units in a building near Madison Square Park and earlier Upper West Side units. These are reported holdings; current ownership has not been checked against title records.
Beverly Hills, California A historic Warner estate acquired in 2020 and adjacent properties. Continued ownership is Architectural Digest’s reporting.
Washington, D.C. Two adjacent former Textile Museum structures acquired in 2016, plus a house across the street acquired in 2020. Architectural Digest describes these as maintained holdings.
Near Van Horn, Texas The reported Figure 2/Corn Ranch, a large landholding. Architectural Digest describes it as a Blue Origin operations base, not a primary residence.
Maui, Hawaii A reported residential compound near La Perouse Bay. The acquisition was reported through a holding company; the land title is not independently established here.

Does Jeff Bezos still own a home in Seattle?

Reports indicate he sold one Seattle-area property, not that he disposed of all property there. Architectural Digest reported that Bezos sold a Hunts Point waterfront home in early 2025 for $63 million, and said the transaction set a Washington state residential-sale record at the time. The same overview says he maintains an older Medina compound. These are published ownership reports, not a complete, current title search.

How much is Bezos’s real estate portfolio worth?

Architectural Digest estimated the portfolio at more than $700 million in its 2026 overview. That figure is the magazine’s estimate, not an audited valuation or public appraisal. Reported purchase prices—such as the Indian Creek transactions—describe what was paid at the time, not what a property is worth today.

What can public reporting establish?

Public reporting supports Miami and Indian Creek as Bezos’s reported residential base, along with a broad portfolio spanning several other locations. It does not provide a definitive property-by-property title ledger, verify his current occupancy at each property, or establish an official total value. The most useful distinction is between a reported primary residence, other reported holdings, a sold property, and land described as serving an operational purpose.
