NERDiT Now did not get an investment on Shark Tank, and it has not become a national brand. Its current public listings show a Wilmington, Delaware technology company that still offers device repair, mail-in service, trade-ins, resale, and recycling. What the public record does not show is a verified revenue figure or evidence of a nationwide rollout.
What happened on Shark Tank
ABC’s episode recap for Season 11, Episode 5, dated October 27, 2019, described NERDiT Now as a business founded in 2015 that bought, repaired, and resold computers, phones, and tablets. The pitch had three parts: a storefront in Wilmington, The Motherboard (a converted ambulance used as a mobile office and repair unit), and a prototype repair kiosk, along with plans to scale. ABC also reported that the NERDiT Foundation had donated 400 computers since 2015 to underserved communities in Wilmington, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Ghana, and Kenya.
A July 2023 SlashGear retrospective says the founders asked for $150,000 in exchange for 20% equity. The Sharks questioned whether the business could scale, and the founders left without a deal. SlashGear’s piece is a secondary account of the episode. It does not describe the company’s finances today.

What the numbers measure
The company’s figures come from different owners, dates, and units, so they cannot be added together or compared directly.
| Figure | Source and date | What it measures | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 400 computers donated | ABC episode recap, October 2019 | Computers donated by the NERDiT Foundation since 2015, as reported at the time | Historical figure reported in 2019 |
| More than 7,500 devices donated | Company home page, undated, accessed October 8, 2026 | Devices donated, according to the company | Company claim, not independently verified. Other numeric counters on the same page display zero. |

The 400-computer figure counts computers given away in the years up to 2019. The 7,500-device claim is a later, company-reported total that covers a different category and was not verified. Treat them as two separate statements, not as evidence of growth.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. If you plan to use the service
- Confirm the address, hours, and phone number on the official website before you visit. The BBB listing does not guarantee current walk-in availability.
- Ask for the repair quote in writing, including whether mail-in work is done at the Wilmington location.
- Ask how data will be erased before a device leaves your hands, and get the answer in writing. Do not hand over a device without a clear plan for removing personal information.
- If you are sending a device for recycling or trade-in, ask whether NERDiT Recycles or the Wilmington business handles it. Ask for documentation of the R2 certification rather than relying on the website’s statement.
Some repairs are better left to a professional, and the company’s services are not a substitute for a manufacturer’s warranty process. Check your warranty status before paying for a repair.
