1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesA tested, working Xbox 360 with a controller and cables typically sells for about $60 to $120 in the U.S. secondhand market. That range comes from completed-sale examples in PriceCharting’s Xbox 360 price guide, which uses sold eBay and other marketplace listings, and from sales recorded between early 2025 and September 2026. Untested consoles can sell for as little as $20, while boxed, unused, or otherwise unusually pristine units have sold for $300 or more. Those high results are exceptions and should not set your expectations.
The number you can realistically get depends on four things: the exact model, the storage capacity, whether the console works, and what comes with it. The rest of this guide shows how to match your unit to comparable sales and turn that into an asking price.

Start by identifying your exact model and storage
The Xbox 360 came in several hardware generations, and resale prices differ between them. The original Xbox 360 is sold in a 60GB configuration in the examples below. The Xbox 360 E and Xbox 360 Slim are separate categories, and each appears in 4GB and 250GB capacities. Keep these categories apart when you look for comparables, because a 4GB Slim and a 250GB E are not interchangeable in a price guide.
Look for the model number on the label of the console. Model designations such as 1439 or 1538 can help identify a specific unit, but confirm the model from the label itself and then match it to a price guide page for that same model. Storage capacity is listed on the label or on the system information screen in the dashboard settings. If the label and the screen disagree, trust the label until you have checked it.

What recent sales show
The table below lists sold examples from PriceCharting’s Xbox 360 guide, accessed October 8, 2026. All prices are in U.S. dollars as shown on the listings. The guide does not normalize shipping, and the individual listing records do not state whether shipping was included, so treat every figure as the item price only. Each row is a single transaction, not an official valuation.

| Xbox 360 Slim | 250GB | $119.99 | 2026-08-13 | Complete-in-box system with OEM controller; the listing describes a 4GB unit, so confirm the capacity |
| Xbox 360 Slim | 250GB | $149.99 | 2026-08-01 | Complete-in-box Slim |
| Xbox 360 Slim | 250GB | $184.99 | 2026-09-06 | Pristine complete-in-box bundle; a top-end result |
The same guide page also shows a $120.00 figure for the Slim 250GB. Its date and whether it reflects a single sale or a computed value are not stated on the page, so do not rely on it without checking the underlying sales.

Original Xbox 360 (60GB)
The spread on the original model is the widest of the three in these examples. A console with cables and a power supply sold for $59.99, while a tested bundle with a controller and cables reached $90.00 on the same day. The lowest result, $20.00, was for an untested unit. Boxed, tested, working bundles have reached $90.00. For this model, the test status and the included controller account for most of the difference between a low and a high sale.
Xbox 360 E
The E sales cluster in a moderate band. The 4GB examples sold between $73.43 and $90.00 in early 2026, and other 2025 sales fell in a broader range of roughly $55 to $90. On the 250GB model, tested consoles with a controller sold for $104.99 and $119.99, while a console with only a power supply sold for $78.99. The Kinect sale at $101.25 shows that extra controllers and accessories can keep a bundle close to the top of the range, but a bundle that includes a Kinect and a game does not automatically sell for more than a clean tested console.

Slim sales at 4GB were mostly $60 to $78 when the console was working and sold with basic accessories or games. The $324.99 “CIB Never Used” sale is an exception driven by the listing’s condition claim and completeness, not a sign that ordinary used Slims are worth that much. The 250GB Slim examples are mostly complete-in-box listings, which places them in a different condition category from a used unit sold without its packaging. One listing on the 250GB page describes a 4GB complete-in-box system, which illustrates why you should check the capacity in every listing before you use it as a comparable.
What moves the price
- Model and generation. Original, E, and Slim units are priced separately, and comparables should match on model first.
- Storage. A 4GB unit and a 250GB unit of the same generation are different products in price guides. Compare like capacities.
- Working status. A console that has been tested and works sells for far more than an untested one. Be specific about what you tested, such as power-on, video output, disc reading, controller connection, and storage.
- Included items. Power supply, controllers, cables, hard drive, original box, Kinect, and games all change what a buyer receives. Most of the gap between a $60 sale and a $90 sale in these examples comes from what was included rather than from the console itself.
- Condition and completeness. A clean unit with its original box can command a premium, but a box alone does not make a used console worth the highest sale on a guide page. Treat “never used” and complete-in-box listings as separate categories.
- Date and market. These are sales from specific dates in 2025 and 2026. Secondhand prices move, so prices from a year earlier may not match today.
How to price your own Xbox 360
- Identify the model and capacity. Read the model number and storage capacity from the label on the console. If the label is worn or missing, check the system information screen in the dashboard settings for the capacity.
- Test the console and record the results. Confirm that it powers on, outputs video, reads discs, connects to a controller, and recognizes its storage. Write down anything that fails or behaves oddly, because a buyer will ask.
- List every item in the package. Count the power supply, each controller, cables, hard drive, original box, Kinect, and games. Note whether each item is original and working.
- Find recent completed sales for the same model, capacity, and bundle. Use at least three comparables where you can. Give more weight to tested sales that match your bundle than to asking prices, which may never have sold.
- Discard the outliers. Remove unusually pristine, unused, or rare listings when pricing an ordinary used unit, and remove any sale where the capacity or model does not match yours.
- Set your asking price. Start from the median of the matching sales, adjust up or down for your condition and bundle, and write a description that states the model, capacity, test results, and included items. Photograph the console, label, and each accessory.
Mistakes that inflate or deflate your estimate
- Pricing from one sale. A single listing can reflect a buyer’s unusual circumstances or a misleading condition claim.
- Mixing capacities. A 4GB Slim result should not anchor a 250GB estimate, or the reverse.
- Crediting the console for games or accessories. The sale price for a bundle reflects everything in the bundle, so separate the values if you plan to sell parts individually.
- Presenting an untested unit as working. Untested sales can be far lower, and an undisclosed fault usually lowers the final price or leads to a return.
- Treating an asking price as a sale price. Listings that have not sold show what sellers hope to get, not what buyers pay.
Shipping, fees, and where you sell
The sale examples here do not show shipping costs, and this guide does not calculate them. If you sell a console to a buyer who must pay for shipping, your net proceeds will be lower than the sale price after postage and packaging. Shipping a console is heavier and bulkier than most small electronics, so get a quote before you set the price.
Seller fees and payout terms on the marketplace you use also affect what you keep. These were not verified for this guide, so check the current fee schedule on the platform before you list. The price guide’s figures are U.S. dollars and reflect U.S.-market sales. If you live elsewhere, look for recent sales in your own country before you use these numbers.
