The best available estimate for the HondaJet HA-480 Echelon is $10 million to $12 million, but that is a third-party projection—not a confirmed Honda price, official list price, or verified transaction price. Honda Aircraft Company’s latest program update gives no price and targets first delivery in 2031, so the estimate may change before the aircraft reaches buyers.
Is the HondaJet Echelon price official?
No confirmed Echelon price appears in the Honda Aircraft Company material reviewed. A Quantum Jets aircraft page lists a projected price of $10 million to $12 million, but it does not provide a primary-source pricing announcement or establish what the estimate includes. Treat it as an indicative third-party estimate, not a quote or confirmed base price. Quantum Jets’ Echelon preview
In October 2023, Aviation Week reported that Honda Aircraft president Hideto Yamasaki said the company had not yet settled on a price. That is a historical account of Honda’s position at the time, not proof of its current internal position. Honda’s September 2026 program update discusses the schedule but does not announce a price. What the estimate does—and does not—tell you
The $10 million to $12 million figure is a projected aircraft price. The source does not define whether it refers to a particular configuration, equipment package, or delivery market. There is no substantiated breakdown here for options, taxes, financing, insurance, maintenance, or operating costs. It should not be treated as a complete ownership budget.

- IFF antenna array in front of the cockpit distinguishes this CCIP-equipped model from other F-16s.
- Curved form of the F-16 accurately reproduced with trademark Tamiya precision.
- Moveable horizontal stabilizers. "Flaperons" can be modelled in the up or down positions.
- Full ordnance load including AGM-88 HARM, AIM-120C AMRAAM, AIM-9M/X Sidewinder, ECM pod, and fuel tanks included.
- Centerline and inner wing pylons as well as tail assembly feature polycaps to allow easy detachment for storage.
Purchase price is also different from charter rates, hourly operating expense, and lifetime cost of ownership. The available figures do not establish current amounts for those categories, so they cannot be calculated reliably from the purchase-price estimate alone.
When is the Echelon expected to reach buyers?
Honda Aircraft’s September 15, 2026 update targets the Echelon’s first flight in 2028, followed by type certification and first delivery in 2031. Honda said supplier-related schedule adjustments and ongoing development activities informed the revised timeline. These are program targets, not completed milestones; the aircraft remains in development. Honda Aircraft’s program update

What is known about the aircraft behind the estimate?
Honda’s October 2023 announcement described the following target specifications. They are manufacturer targets, not guarantees of certified performance:
| Measure | Honda’s stated target |
|---|---|
| NBAA IFR range | 2,625 nautical miles with one crew member and four passengers |
| Maximum cruise speed | 450 knots |
| Total occupants | Up to 11 |

Do letters of intent mean the price is settled?
No. In a February 20, 2025 company release, Honda Aircraft senior vice president and chief commercial officer Amod Kelkar said that almost 500 letters of intent had been signed and that the number was increasing. Letters of intent indicate interest; they are not firm orders or deliveries, and they do not establish a final price. Honda Aircraft’s February 20, 2025 release

What a prospective buyer should verify
Before using the projection in a purchase or financing plan, ask Honda Aircraft or an authorized sales representative for written, current details on:
- Whether an official price or orderable configuration has been announced.
- What the quoted aircraft configuration includes and which options are additional.
- Delivery timing and any market-specific taxes or fees.
- Financing, insurance, maintenance, and operating-cost assumptions needed for a full ownership budget.
Until those details are available, the $10 million to $12 million estimate is best used only as a rough indication of possible acquisition scale—not as a buyer’s quote or affordability calculation.
