Virgin Media O2 and Daisy Group combined substantially all of their direct business-to-business operations to create a new UK business services provider. It began operating on 1 August 2025 and launched publicly as O2 Daisy on 4 August. On 29 April 2026, the company announced a phased rebrand to O2 Business. This was a B2B transaction—not a merger of Virgin Media and O2’s consumer businesses with all of Daisy Group.
What did Virgin Media O2 and Daisy Group merge?
The companies announced the proposed deal on 12 May 2025. It brought together substantially all of Virgin Media O2 Business and Daisy Group’s business operations in a new company serving UK organisations. After required regulatory and competition approvals, the combined business began operating on 1 August 2025, according to VMED O2’s financial statements filed with the SEC.
The parent companies did not merge in full. The transaction concerned their direct B2B operations; Virgin Media O2’s consumer services and all of Daisy Group as a parent company were not combined into O2 Daisy.
Who owns the combined business?
VMED O2 controls 70% of the company and fully consolidates it in its financial statements. Daisy Pikco holds the remaining 30%. The transaction brought in contributed assets, liabilities and customer bases.

| Measure | Figure and qualification |
|---|---|
| Annual revenue | Around £1.4 billion, pro forma and based on full-year 2024 performance (Virgin Media O2, 2025). |
| Adjusted EBITDA | £150 million, based on full-year 2024 performance (Virgin Media O2, 2025). |
| Adjusted EBITDA less capex | £100 million, based on full-year 2024 performance (Virgin Media O2, 2025). |
| Operational synergies | Around £600 million net present value, including integration costs; the company projected an annual pre-tax run rate of about £70 million by 2030, with more than half anticipated within three years of closing (Virgin Media O2, 2025). |
At launch, Virgin Media O2 also said it expected consolidation of Daisy to add about £125 million of revenue in 2025. That was an expectation, not a reported final result. The 2025 launch announcement called the company the “second largest” UK SMB solutions provider, citing Analysys Mason in May 2025; treat that as a dated launch-era claim, not a current independent ranking.

Customer terms can depend on the service brand and when the customer signed up. O2 Business’s terms page directs customers who signed up under relevant brands before April 2026 to the matching O2 Business, Daisy or Virgin Media Business terms. Check the terms for your own service and contact the provider’s current official support channel for account-specific questions; an earlier Virgin Media Business page said services and support contacts were unchanged at that time, but that is not a guarantee for every customer following the later rebrand.
