For Samsung Rewards members in the U.S., 200 points currently equal a $1 discount on eligible purchases at Samsung.com or in the Shop Samsung app. That is a redemption rate—not cash value: Samsung says points cannot be exchanged for cash, and the rate may change.
What Samsung points are worth in dollars
Samsung’s U.S. Rewards FAQ states: “One Samsung Rewards point is worth $0.005 on Samsung.com or in the Shop Samsung App.” At that rate, divide your balance by 200 to estimate its nominal eligible-purchase discount.
| Points | Nominal eligible-purchase discount |
|---|---|
| 200 | $1 |
| 1,000 | $5 |
| 10,000 | $50 |
The conversion is set by Samsung, not an independent measure of what points are worth to every shopper. Samsung can change the value, and points have no cash value. The rate applies to eligible Samsung purchases, not other retailers or cash withdrawals. Samsung Rewards FAQ
How points measure up to spending
Samsung’s FAQ lists a 0.5% base earning rate for Silver members. At that rate, a hypothetical $100 of eligible spending would earn 50 points, worth $0.25 at the stated redemption rate. This is arithmetic based on Samsung’s published rate, not a separate Samsung-published spending statistic.

Actual points are calculated on eligible purchase amounts after discounts, coupons, promo codes, and gift certificates—not on the tax-inclusive total. Shipping, taxes, and fees do not count toward earning. Samsung shows a potential point award during checkout, so use that estimate rather than applying a rate to the full amount on a receipt. Apply points to eligible products
Sign in to your account and apply points to all or part of an eligible product purchase at Samsung.com or in the Shop Samsung app. Points cannot cover shipping, taxes, or fees, and Samsung’s terms exclude purchases using Samsung Financing from point-based price reductions. The checkout screen is the practical place to confirm what your balance can cover on a specific order. Samsung Rewards FAQ Samsung U.S. Rewards terms

How to decide whether to redeem or save
- Redeem for a purchase you already plan to make: Compare the checkout discount with the value of keeping the points available for another eligible Samsung purchase.
- Account for expiry: Saving points carries the risk that they expire under the 36-month rule or that Samsung changes the conversion value.
- Use the actual eligible subtotal: Taxes, shipping, and fees are excluded, so a tax-inclusive shopping total can overstate the points you will earn or the amount your points can cover.

|---|---|---|
| Silver | Free | 0.5% |
| Gold | 500 earned points | 1% |
| Platinum | 2,500 earned points | 1.5% |
Samsung’s public Rewards page does not present fully consistent qualification thresholds: its benefit table describes Gold as spending $500 and Platinum as spending $1,000, while the page FAQ says Platinum follows $1,500 of spending in a 12-month period. The FAQ also describes qualification by earned-point totals.
