Application deadline March 4, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
Examination Started June 20, 2025, and lasted three days
Later cycle status Final-result steps documented by the Government of India

UPSC’s examination archive lists the 2025 notification and schedule. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) published a Government of India release concerning the final result and instructions for qualified candidates.

Can you still apply for IES/ISS 2025?

No. The registration period ended in March 2025, so the 2025 application cannot be submitted now. UPSC’s 2025 notice required candidates to apply online through the UPSC portal; that instruction applied to the now-closed cycle, not to a currently open application window.

Have the 2026 dates passed too?

Yes. UPSC listed March 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. as the application deadline for the 2026 cycle, with the examination starting June 19, 2026. Both dates have passed. The UPSC IES/ISS examination page is the official place to check cycle-specific information.

Where to check for a future application window

Do not rely on dates from previous cycles to predict the next one. Check the latest UPSC examination notices for the notification, application closing date and time, exam schedule, eligibility rules, and application instructions. When UPSC announces a new cycle, follow its notice and use the official UPSC online application portal as directed there.
