As of 8 October 2026, UPSC’s official pages checked do not show a CDS (I), 2027 notification or an examination-specific application form. The latest CDS (I) notice in the UPSC archive is for 2026, and its application deadline has passed. Check the official notification archive for a new notice rather than relying on an unverified claim that applications are open.
Is the CDS (I), 2027 notification out?
No release is confirmed by the UPSC pages reviewed as of 8 October 2026. The active examinations page lists CDS (I), 2026 and CDS (II), 2026, but not CDS (I), 2027. UPSC’s Examination Notifications Archives is the place to check for an examination-specific notice and its dates.
UPSC’s calendar index lists the Annual Calendar 2027, uploaded on 20 May 2026. That calendar listing does not establish that the CDS (I), 2027 notification has been issued. A general portal being available is also not proof that a CDS application window is open.

These are the dates listed in the UPSC archive, whose page was last updated on 7 October 2026 when checked. Both application deadlines have passed. CDS (I) and CDS (II) are separate examination cycles; the dates above do not provide a schedule for CDS (I), 2027.

Where to find the official application link
Use the examination-specific application link published with the CDS notice. The official UPSC application portal is a general portal; its existence alone does not confirm that a form for a particular CDS cycle is available.
- Open the UPSC Examination Notifications Archives and look for the CDS cycle you intend to apply for.
- Open that cycle’s official notice and verify the application dates, eligibility requirements and application instructions there.
- Follow the application link provided for that examination in the notice. Do not use past-cycle dates or a general portal page as evidence that a current application window is open.
Eligibility, academy-specific qualifications, age cutoffs, vacancies, fees and detailed application steps for a future CDS (I) cycle are not established by the current listings. Use the applicable official notice for those details.
