UPSC CMS 2025 applications opened on 19 February 2025 and closed on 11 March 2025 at 6 p.m. The application window has expired: the Combined Medical Services Examination was held on 20 July 2025, and UPSC’s final-results archive shows an upload dated 6 March 2026. Applicants looking for a current cycle should use the active UPSC notice for its dates and requirements, not the 2025 schedule.

How candidates applied for the 2025 examination
Applications were submitted online through upsconline.gov.in. Candidates who had not already created a One Time Registration (OTR) profile were instructed to complete OTR before starting the examination application. UPSC described OTR as a one-time profile registration available throughout the year; candidates who already had an OTR profile could proceed to the examination application.

Documents and details required by the 2025 instructions
The notice instructed applicants to enter the required information and upload documents during the application window. Its named documents included:
- Matriculation certificate.
- Educational certificates.
- Applicable community or PwBD certificate.
- Applicable undertakings.
Applicants were also told to have details of a photo ID card. Examples in the instructions included Aadhaar, voter ID (EPIC), PAN, passport, driving licence, or another photo ID issued by a state or central government. Check the current notice for the documents and accepted ID details required in a later cycle.
Where to check current UPSC CMS dates
For a new application, consult UPSC’s current examination notice and official online application portal. Do not rely on the 2025 opening date, deadline, document list, or contact details as current-cycle guidance unless UPSC repeats them in the applicable notice. The facilitation-counter numbers printed in the 2025 instructions—011-23385271, 011-23381125, and 011-23098543, with working-day hours of 10:00 to 17:00—are historical; verify contact information on UPSC’s current site before using it.

Official UPSC CMS 2025 question papers
UPSC’s previous-question-paper catalogue lists two CMS 2025 papers: “General Medicine and Pediatrics” and “Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Preventive & Social Medicine.” Candidates preparing for a later cycle can use the official papers as a primary reference. If using a printed compilation, check that it covers both paper groups and reproduces questions accurately; explanations and edition coverage are separate features to assess.
