UPTET 2021 result: key figures
| Result detail | Reported figure |
|---|---|
| Result announcement | April 8, 2022 |
| Total candidates qualified | 660,592 |
| Primary level (Classes I–V) | 443,598 |
| Upper-primary level (Classes VI–VIII) | 216,994 |
The totals were reported by contemporaneous news coverage, including Scroll.in and Hindustan Times. The two level-wise figures add to the reported overall total; they are published figures, not independently audited candidate records.
Where candidates were directed to check the result
At the time of the announcement, candidates were directed to the Uttar Pradesh examination portal at updeled.gov.in to view detailed result information using their login details. Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, then secretary of the Examination Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh, said: “The detailed result has been made available on the official website https://updeled.gov.in/ for the benefit of the candidates,” as quoted by Hindustan Times.
The portal continues to list UPTET as an examination service, but its current navigation may differ from the 2022 result flow. The historic result link’s present availability has not been confirmed, so this is not a guarantee that the result can still be downloaded there.

Why the exam is called UPTET 2021 although it was held in 2022
The 2021 exam cycle was initially scheduled for November 28, 2021, but was cancelled after a paper leak and later rescheduled. The examination was held on January 23, 2022, in two shifts, and the result followed on April 8, 2022. The “2021” label refers to the exam cycle, not the calendar year in which candidates sat the test.
