The National Testing Agency (NTA) published the UGC-NET June 2025 city intimation notice on June 19 for candidates scheduled to sit the exam on June 25. The notice directed candidates to ugcnet.nta.ac.in and said they could check or download the slip using their application number and date of birth. The city intimation slip is not an admit card and does not permit entry to the examination.
This is a historical update: the June 2025 examination window ran from June 25 to June 29, and the official portal now lists result-stage updates for that cycle.
How to check the UGC NET June 2025 city slip
- Go to the official UGC-NET portal: ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
- Open the June 2025 city intimation slip link and enter your application number and date of birth, as specified in NTA’s June 19, 2025 notice.
- Check the displayed information and download or save the slip. Read any instructions printed on it.
The slip provided advance information about the city where the examination centre was located. It did not state that candidates could choose or change their centre.
City intimation slip vs. admit card
The city slip and admit card were separate documents. NTA’s June 19 notice stated, “The Candidates may please note that this is NOT the Admit Card for the examination.” NTA said the admit card would be issued later. A subsequent June 23 notice separately announced admit cards for candidates taking the June 26 exam.
#1 Best Overall
The June 19 slip was advance city information, not an examination-entry document. Candidates needed the separately issued admit card and the applicable instructions for their exam date.
Exam dates and scope
The June 2025 UGC-NET examination ran from June 25 through June 29, covering 85 subjects in computer-based test mode, according to NTA’s June 6 exam schedule and the June 19 city notice. The June 19 release specifically concerned the June 25 exam date; it was not a notice that the entire examination began for every candidate on that single date.
The scheduled categories included Assistant Professor eligibility with Ph.D. admission, and Ph.D.-only admission. UGC-NET also assesses eligibility pathways including Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor. The official portal says JRF and Assistant Professor eligibility depends on aggregate performance in Paper I and Paper II.
What to do if the slip would not download
For problems accessing the slip, NTA’s June 19 notice listed 011-40759000 and [email protected]. Because this examination cycle is complete, candidates seeking current help should check the latest official UGC-NET notices and contact details rather than assume those 2025 contact details remain active.

Where the June 2025 cycle stands now
As of October 8, 2026, the official UGC-NET portal lists later-stage June 2025 updates, including results-related notices, the final answer key, scorecard, and certificate information. Candidates looking for those records should use the relevant current links on the portal, not the old city-intimation slip link.
