UPSC’s official archives are the place to check the 2024 Combined Defence Services Examination (II) (CDS II) and National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II) (NDA/NA II) records. The CDS II written-result document is dated 23 September 2024; for the NDA/NA II written result, use UPSC’s written-results archive to locate the official document. Written results, final results, recommended-candidate marks and cutoffs are separate records.
Official UPSC result links
Use UPSC’s official archive pages rather than an unofficial mirror. Open the written-results archive to find the written examination documents, and check the other archives only when you need marks, final results or cutoffs.
- UPSC written-results archive — look for the CDS II 2024 and NDA/NA II 2024 written-result documents.
- UPSC Marks of Recommended Candidates archive — for marks records published after recommendations.
- UPSC Cut-off Marks archive — for separate cutoff records for both examinations.
- UPSC Final Results archive — for final-result documents.
UPSC’s official CDS II 2024 written-result notice is also available through the Press Information Bureau result notice.

CDS II 2024 written result: what the notice says
The UPSC notice dated 23 September 2024 says that 8,796 candidates qualified for interview by the Services Selection Board (SSB), based on the written examination held on 1 September 2024. Qualification in the written result means the candidate qualified for the next stage; it is not, by itself, a final recommendation.
How to find and download the result
- Open UPSC’s written-results archive.
- Find the entry for the exact examination: CDS II 2024 or NDA/NA II 2024. These are two separate examinations, so do not use one result document for both.
- Open the result document linked from the entry. Check its title and examination stage to make sure it is the written result, not a final result, marks list or cutoff document.
- Use the PDF viewer’s download control to save the official file. Keep the examination name and stage with the saved file so it is not confused with a later record.
Archive entries and active PDF links can change. For NDA/NA II 2024 in particular, verify the current link and document date on UPSC’s archive rather than relying on an unconfirmed direct URL.

Where to find marks, cutoffs and question papers
For marks of recommended candidates, use UPSC’s marks archive; for qualifying thresholds, use the separate cutoff archive. UPSC also lists the previous question papers archive: CDS II 2024 English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics papers, and NDA/NA II 2024 General Ability Test and Mathematics papers. These are examination papers, not result documents.
