This is a historical recruitment notice, not an open application. UKPSC published the Forest Guard Exam-2022 advertisement on 21 October 2022, and the application deadline was 11 November 2022. The advertised 894 posts and the original application window have passed. What did the 2022 notification announce?
Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) advertised 894 Forest Guard posts under advertisement A-2/E-5/DR/FG/2022-23. The posts were Group C, with a pay scale of Rs 21,700–69,100 at level 3, as stated in the official notice.
The notice gave this vertical reservation breakdown:

These are vertical category figures. The advertisement also addressed horizontal reservations and said the vacancy count could change; candidates should use the official notice for the relevant reservation rules and any later correction.
What were the application dates and process?
The online application deadline was 11 November 2022. Applicants were instructed to complete the form through UKPSC’s application portal and upload the required photograph and signature. The notice said admit cards would be available for online download, not sent by post, and advised candidates to retain their application details and keep contact information current. Those directions describe the 2022 recruitment only and are not steps for applying to a current vacancy.
The advertisement waived examination and processing fees under the government orders cited in that notice. This fee waiver applied to this recruitment notice; it should not be assumed to apply to later UKPSC recruitments.
Who was eligible under the notice?
Education
The minimum educational qualification was Intermediate/Class 12 or an equivalent qualification under the board or school terms specified in the advertisement. Candidates were required to hold the qualification by the application deadline. For recording the date the educational result was declared, the notice treated the marksheet issue date as the relevant date.
Age
The usual age range was 18 to 28 years as of 1 July 2022. The notice provided category-specific age relaxations and an exception for certain candidates who had applied under an earlier advertisement. The age range is therefore not a universal rule for every applicant: check the official PDF for the applicable category, relaxation and prior-applicant exception.

What were the selection stages and physical requirements?
The process included an objective written examination and a qualifying physical stage. After physical eligibility standards were checked, candidates had to complete the gender-specific run stated in the advertisement:

The notice also set out physical standards and exceptions. The run is a recruitment test requirement, not general fitness guidance. Read the official advertisement for the precise standards and any exception relevant to an individual candidate. Where can candidates check later updates?
The original advertisement establishes the terms announced in 2022, but later recruitment notices may record subsequent stages or changes. Use the UKPSC announcements archive to locate dated official updates, such as notices about admit cards, results or corrections, rather than treating the original application announcement as the latest status.
