The reported objection window has long closed. News reports disagree on whether the cutoff was August 4 or August 5, 2025, so the exact deadline cannot be established from the available reporting alone.
What the 2025 notice covered
Late-July 2025 coverage concerned the provisional answer key for the UPPSC RO/ARO preliminary examination associated with the 2023 recruitment cycle—not a different Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission exam. Scroll reported that the exam took place on July 27, while Amar Ujala reported July 28; the date is therefore also inconsistent across reports.
Scroll reported 411 posts in the recruitment drive. Amar Ujala reported that the examination was held at 2,382 centres. These are figures from news reports, not figures independently confirmed against the original UPPSC notice.
Where the key was reported to be available
Scroll said candidates could download the provisional key from the UPPSC website, uppsc.up.nic.in, using the “View Answer Key” tab and then selecting the RO/ARO preliminary-exam links. The official page and notice were not independently accessible for confirmation. Amar Ujala reported that scanned question papers were uploaded with answers highlighted or underlined, attributing that information to Examination Controller Harsh Dev Pandey.

Why reports disagree about the objection deadline
Scroll and Amar Ujala, both reporting on July 31, 2025, said candidates could submit objections through August 5. Scroll specified a 5 pm cutoff. Jagran coverage is inconsistent: one report gives August 5 at 5 pm, while a Jagran Josh report gives August 4. Because the original commission notice was not available to confirm the cutoff, those secondary reports do not establish one definitive deadline.
At the time, candidates needed to rely on the deadline and instructions in UPPSC’s own notice rather than assume that one news report resolved the discrepancy. The reported August 2025 objection period is now over.

News coverage said candidates could submit suggestions or objections with supporting proof. A Jagran report described using a prescribed form and sending it by post or delivering it at the commission counter, but those filing details could not be checked against the original UPPSC notice. They should not be treated as verified instructions for a current or future objection window.
