The reported disclosed purses at UFC 311 were $200,000 for Islam Makhachev, $250,000 for Renato Moicano, $500,000 for Merab Dvalishvili and $100,000 for Umar Nurmagomedov. Sherdog attributed the figures to salaries released by the California State Athletic Commission. They are disclosed purse amounts—not confirmed totals or take-home pay.

Sherdog’s January 19, 2025 report attributes the salary figures to the California State Athletic Commission. UFC’s event page and results coverage establish the event context, not the purse amounts.
Why disclosed purses are not total earnings
A commission-disclosed purse is a partial compensation measure. Sherdog notes that these figures exclude performance-based or discretionary promotional bonuses and sponsorship income. MMA Fighting also notes that disclosed salaries typically do not include pay-per-view earnings or other UFC-paid bonuses. Taxes, insurance and other deductions can further affect what a fighter ultimately keeps.

That means the figures should not be read as guaranteed total compensation, net pay or take-home pay. The available reports do not provide a complete event-wide accounting of fighter earnings.
Moicano’s separate statement about his payday
Moicano’s $250,000 figure is his reported disclosed base purse. Separately, MMA Fighting reported on January 24, 2025 that, when asked about his bonus check on the Show Me The Money podcast, Moicano answered, “Over [$950,000].” That is Moicano’s reported answer, not an audited figure or a commission-listed purse; the report notes that additional pay-per-view or other UFC payments may be involved.

What happened at UFC 311
UFC 311 took place on January 18, 2025, at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Makhachev faced Moicano in the main event, while Dvalishvili defeated Nurmagomedov by unanimous decision in the co-main event. Those results provide context for the four fighters’ reported purses, but do not change what the disclosed figures include.
