Renato Moicano’s reported disclosed payout for UFC 311 was $250,000, compared with Islam Makhachev’s $200,000—a $50,000 difference. Those are listed purse figures reported from the California State Athletic Commission, not verified totals for everything either fighter earned.
What were Moicano and Makhachev’s reported UFC 311 payouts?
| Fighter | Reported disclosed payout |
|---|---|
| Renato Moicano | $250,000 |
| Islam Makhachev | $200,000 |
MMA Junkie reporter Simon Samano reported that California State Athletic Commission executive director Andy Foster provided the full list to MMA Junkie. On those reported amounts, Moicano’s listed purse was $50,000 higher than Makhachev’s.
Do these figures show who earned more overall?
No. The disclosed amounts do not establish either fighter’s complete compensation. MMA Junkie’s report says the figures exclude off-contract bonuses and sponsor payments; Sporting News also notes that pay-per-view revenue may add to a fighter’s earnings. The available reports do not quantify those additional payments for both fighters, so the $50,000 gap applies only to the listed figures.
Sporting News characterized Makhachev’s $200,000 as his listed base pay and noted that a champion headlining the event could receive a share of pay-per-view revenue. It did not establish the amount of any such share or either fighter’s final total. The public figures also do not explain why the listed purses differed, so they are not enough to infer the terms or rationale of either contract.
