What was the UKSSSC 241-post recruitment?
The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) advertised 241 direct-recruitment Group C vacancies across several state departments. The 241 figure covered the combined recruitment, not one individual post. The notice listed roles spanning agriculture, dairy development, horticulture and food processing, animal husbandry, prisons, Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan, the forensic science laboratory and irrigation. Examples included Assistant Agriculture Officer Grade I (Chemistry Branch), Technical Assistant Grade I (Engineering), Senior Milk Inspector, Laboratory Assistant, Livestock Extension Officer, Pharmacist, Chemist, Photographer, Model Assistant and Scientific Assistant.

What were the fees and application process?
A contemporaneous Scroll report summarized the fee as Rs 300 for unreserved and Uttarakhand State OBC applicants, Rs 150 for State SC/ST/EWS/PwD candidates, and no fee for orphan candidates. Because the 2025 window has expired, those instructions cannot be used to submit an application now.

There was no single qualification rule for all 241 vacancies: the notice covered different occupations and departments. Exact educational qualifications, age limits, pay, reservation details and vacancy allocations depend on the specific post. Check the relevant post table and any amendments in the full official notification rather than applying one role’s criteria to the entire recruitment.
Are these vacancies still open, or are they the 2026 recruitment?
No. The 241-post application period belongs to the 2025 advertisement and is over. As of October 8, 2026, the UKSSSC recruitment portal displayed separate 2026 Group C advertisements, including accounting, computer/assistant and clerk, personal assistant and stenographer, and scaler roles. Those notices have their own application windows and are not extensions or replacements for Advertisement 68/UKSSSC/2025. Check the UKSSSC recruitment portal for current listings and dates.
