The two-level store covered more than 2,000 square metres, with womenswear downstairs and Topman and personal shopping upstairs. That was a historic opening, not evidence that the same Perth store operates today.
When and where did Topshop open in Perth?
The store opened on 31 October 2014 in Murray Street Mall, as part of the revamped Carillon City Centre. PerthNow reported that hundreds of customers came to the CBD for the launch. The report described the opening as the arrival of a long-anticipated international fashion retailer, following Zara’s arrival in Perth earlier that year.
At the time, PerthNow called it Topshop’s fifth Australian store: one was in Sydney, one in Brisbane and three in Melbourne. That count describes the retailer’s Australian footprint in 2014, not its current store network.
What was inside the Perth store?
Two floors of fashion and services
The store occupied more than 2,000 square metres across two levels. Womenswear was on the ground floor; Topman and personal shopping were upstairs. PerthNow described the range as runway-influenced fashion at accessible prices, with everyday trends alongside more limited collections.

Collaborations and seasonal buying
Store managing director Sonia Bettega said the Perth store would carry Designer Collaborations, limited-edition products and the Unique runway collection, as well as everyday trends. She also said the store received two to three deliveries a week, describing them as new product.
The buying team ordered counter-seasonally, according to the report, so stock could reflect global trends while being adapted to Australia’s climate. Topshop and Topman Australia chairman and owner Hilton Seskin said the project had been “two years in the making.” He also described the construction work required to create the space: “We had to drop whole floors down to just try to create the space but it’s been worthwhile, the store looks amazing.”

What did clothing cost in 2014?
PerthNow’s opening-day report gave period examples of jackets priced below $100 and summer dresses below $50. Those were reported 2014 prices, not current prices or a guide to today’s Topshop range.

Myer Group announced on 10 December 2025 that TOPSHOP would return to Australia from February 2026 through Myer stores and online. In a 5 February 2026 release, Myer said the new collection had arrived in stores and online at Myer.com.au. A retailer category page also listed Topshop clothing at THE ICONIC on 8 October 2026.

These later updates establish Australian retail availability after the 2014 opening; they do not establish that the former Murray Street Mall store reopened or remains at Carillon City Centre.
