The listing is for the part, not a confirmed installed replacement price. It does not establish labor, diagnosis, taxes, any core charge, warranty terms, or availability. A Grieco Toyota Parts catalog identifies a battery assembly for a 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid LE, but the retrieved listing does not provide a comparable installed quote. A separate 2025 CR-V Hybrid catalog page also identifies a battery listing without supplying a like-for-like installed price. Those listings cannot establish which brand costs less to repair. These are also different model years and trims. The Honda catalog figure should not be treated as Honda’s typical replacement cost, or compared directly with a Toyota part listing as though both were complete repair bills.

For the 2025 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid, Toyota’s newsroom states that the HV battery is covered for 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, and that the coverage transfers across ownership. How to get an apples-to-apples replacement quote
Ask Toyota and Honda dealers or qualified repair shops for written, VIN-specific estimates. Match the same factors before comparing totals:
- Vehicle: model year, trim, and standard hybrid versus plug-in hybrid powertrain.
- Battery: confirm the quote is for the high-voltage traction battery, and whether the replacement is new, remanufactured, or another type.
- Full repair total: request separate amounts for the part, labor, diagnosis, and taxes, plus any core charge.
- Warranty: ask what warranty applies to the replacement part and labor, and whether any original vehicle coverage remains.
- Location: compare quotes from the same geographic area, since labor rates and taxes can differ.
Have the shop check eligibility under the vehicle’s remaining manufacturer warranty before treating replacement as an out-of-pocket expense. Compare the same quote components—not a parts-only catalog price against another shop’s installed total.

Why a battery listing is not a repair bill
A catalog price can identify a listed part for a particular vehicle application. It does not by itself tell you whether diagnosis or installation is included, whether the part is available, or what warranty accompanies the sale. An installed quote is the relevant figure for a cost comparison, and the available listings do not provide comparable installed totals for the two brands.
The figures here concern the high-voltage hybrid traction battery, not the separate 12-volt battery found in vehicles. The Honda catalog listing cited above is explicitly for a high-voltage hybrid battery.
