The figure is a published estimate, not an audited statement of her personal finances, and it does not establish a complete ranking of British artists under 30 in 2026.
What the 2025 figures show
The 2025 Sunday Times 40 Under 40 list placed Dua Lipa at number 34, with estimated wealth of £115 million, according to The Independent. Heart also reports the estimate and list. Lipa was 29 at the time, so she fits the age limit in this article.
The list’s age test was under 40 on 1 May 2025, as Heart states; The Independent describes it as covering people aged 40 or under on that date. It is a broad list spanning business, sport, music and entertainment—not a census of every British performer, nor a ranking restricted to artists under 30. Lipa’s placement makes her a leading candidate in the available reporting, but the evidence does not prove she is definitively the richest British artist in that age group.
How to read the £115 million estimate
The Sunday Times Rich List describes its estimates as based on identifiable wealth, including land, property, other assets such as art and racehorses, and significant holdings in publicly quoted companies. It excludes bank accounts the newspaper cannot access. The resulting number is a ranking estimate, not an audited personal net-worth disclosure or a complete balance sheet. The source reporting and methodology are discussed in The Independent’s coverage and Heart’s report.

“British artist” also needs a boundary. Here, the claim is limited to a British performer for whom the cited reporting supplies an age and estimate; it should not be read as a verified ranking of all UK nationals, everyone born in Britain, or all entertainers who live and work in the UK. The wider Rich List may include non-British citizens living and working in the UK, so that broader inclusion rule cannot be assumed to define “British” in this headline.
Why older celebrity wealth lists do not settle the ranking
A 2021 Heat survey reported by Rolling Stone UK put Ed Sheeran at £236.5 million and Harry Styles at £80 million. These are historical estimates from a different publisher and survey, not comparable entries in the 2025 Sunday Times ranking. Sheeran had turned 30 in February 2021, and the report noted that its list may reflect the whole year; he therefore should not be presented as an under-30 artist at a consistent valuation date.
Rank #2
The publication year, age cutoff, and estimating method matter as much as the headline number. Mixing estimates from Heat, the Sunday Times, and celebrity-estimate websites would create a ranking that appears precise but compares unlike measurements.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is there a complete 2026 ranking?
The reporting cited here does not verify a complete 2026 list of British artists aged 30 or younger. The £115 million figure is specifically the Sunday Times Rich List estimate reported in 2025; it should not be silently carried forward or described as Dua Lipa’s present-day net worth. The defensible answer is therefore a dated snapshot: Lipa was 29 and estimated at £115 million in the 2025 coverage, while a full current ranking is not established by these sources.
