Jio describes a family plan as one plan for a family, with shared data and one bill/payment. The number of members depends on the selected plan. How family data sharing works
Jio describes three ways to allocate data: a recurring share set in MyJio, a one-time transfer, or a combination of recurring and one-time sharing. Recurring shares are selectable in 5%, 10%, 15% or 20% amounts for an individual member. How to add a number to a family plan
- In MyJio, open Manage Family Plan.
- Enter the Jio number you want to add and validate it with the OTP.

What happens if a family member changes their plan
Jio says a family member can buy a data add-on, but changing their bill plan removes them from the family account and starts individual billing. Netflix and Amazon Prime offers
Netflix
Jio says Netflix is included at no extra cost on select JioPostPaid Plus plans, not necessarily every tier. Its FAQ also ties the included Netflix mobile plan to keeping an eligible plan active. Amazon Prime
Jio says an active eligible plan is required for its Amazon Prime offer, which customers must activate through MyJio. Do not assume Prime is included on a tier unless its current terms say so; if you have upgraded but cannot watch Prime Video, Jio’s FAQ points customers to eligibility and activation as things to check. Jio’s general PostPaid Plus bill-payment page mentions features such as selected paid OTT apps, rollover, Wi-Fi calling, international roaming and app access. These broad descriptions do not mean every feature or subscription is included on every plan; rely on the selected plan’s terms.

Is Jio PostPaid Plus a good fit?
A family plan is worth considering if several household members use Jio postpaid and you want shared data allocation with one bill. It may be less suitable if members need separate billing or frequently change their individual plans, since a member who changes their bill plan leaves the family account. Evaluate the actual live tier against your household’s needs rather than relying on old launch prices or assumed streaming benefits.
