What the RPSC recruitment covered
Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Advertisement 23/2024-25 announced 329 direct-recruitment Assistant Professor posts for the state’s Medical Education Department, across broad and super specialties. The notice, dated December 11, 2024, said the advertised number of posts could increase or decrease. The detailed-advertisement copy was hosted by Result Bharat; consult an official RPSC copy for granular eligibility, selection, salary, or specialty-wise details.
Application dates: original deadline and reopening
The original online application window was reported as December 31, 2024, through January 29, 2025. Scroll.in’s January 29 report used “today” because that was the deadline on the day it was published; it is not a current application notice. Scroll.in’s December 12, 2024 report covered the opening and original schedule, while its January 29, 2025 report described the original last date.
A later Scroll.in report said applications reopened through February 21, 2025. That reopening also ended. The February 11, 2025 report covered the revised application period.

Scroll.in’s January 2025 report gave a maximum age of 37 years as of January 1, 2026, with relaxations for reserved-category candidates. It also reported application fees of ₹600 for General/Unreserved applicants and ₹400 for listed reserved categories. No. The original January 29, 2025 deadline and the reported February 21, 2025 reopening date have both passed. The headline’s “today” referred only to January 29, 2025, not to October 8, 2026. Check RPSC’s official recruitment notices for current vacancies rather than using this historical deadline as a job alert.
