The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) extended the CEN 01/2025 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) application deadline from May 11 to May 19, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. That application window is now closed. The original notice listed 9,970 vacancies; a later corrigendum revised the total to 10,970 in May 2026.
What changed in the RRB ALP 2025 schedule?
RRB Corrigendum 1, dated May 10, 2025, moved the application closing time and related deadlines. It did not change the application opening date. The original CEN 01/2025 notice and the corrigendum establish the following schedule:

The modification facility did not allow candidates to change the account-creation form details or the RRB they had selected. The revised dates and restriction are set out in RRB Corrigendum 1.
Is the 2025 ALP application window still open?
No. The May 2025 application, fee-payment and modification windows have all passed. The extension was a historical change, not a current opportunity to submit an application.

A later, separate recruitment, CEN 01/2026, listed applications from May 15 through June 14, 2026, with fee payment through June 16. Those dates have also passed. Do not confuse that cycle with the 2025 deadline extension; check the relevant official RRB notice for any future recruitment.
Why did the vacancy total change from 9,970 to 10,970?
The original CEN 01/2025 notice announced 9,970 vacancies. Corrigendum 2, dated May 21, 2026, revised vacancies for Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur and Secunderabad, bringing the all-RRB total to 10,970. The 9,970 figure is the original 2025 notice total; 10,970 is the later revised total, not the number originally advertised. See the official CEN 01/2025 notices.

What did the original notice say about the post?
The 2025 notice specified Level 2 with initial pay of ₹19,900, an A-1 medical standard and an age range of 18–30 as of July 1, 2025. These are details of CEN 01/2025; applicants considering another cycle should use that cycle’s notice for its eligibility criteria and applicable age relaxations.
