The CEN 04/2025 notice was published on RRB websites on 14 September 2025. Its application window and related deadlines were:

Later-stage activity has appeared on individual RRB websites. For example, RRB Bhopal posted a CBAT result and RRB Ajmer posted a document-verification notice in 2026. These examples show that the process moved beyond applications, but they do not establish one current status for every board. Vacancies, pay and basic eligibility
CEN 04/2025 advertised 368 Section Controller vacancies across the Railway Recruitment Boards. The post is Pay Level 6 under the 7th Central Pay Commission, with initial pay of ₹35,400. The listed medical standard is A-2. The stated minimum educational qualification is a graduate degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

- Normal age band: 20–33 years as of 1 January 2026, subject to the CEN’s category-specific rules and relaxations.
- Qualification timing: Candidates awaiting final results of the required qualification were not eligible by the application closing date.
- Provisional candidature: Eligibility remained subject to document checks.
- Medical standard: A-2 includes vision requirements. The notice says candidates who underwent LASIK or another refractive-error correction procedure are not eligible for this post.
The age band is not a universal limit: reservation, age relaxation and supporting-document rules depend on the detailed CEN. Review the official notice for your category and circumstances before relying on a short summary.
How the application route worked
Applications were online only through RRB websites. Each candidate could apply to one chosen RRB, not multiple boards. Since the window has closed, the application route is not a way to submit a new application now. RRBs also warned applicants to use official websites and beware of fake sites and job racketeers.
Use the official RRB site you selected to check notices relating to your application, results or next stage. An old application link should not be treated as proof that registration is open.

The selection process in the CEN consists of a computer-based test (CBT), a computer-based aptitude test (CBAT) for shortlisted candidates, document verification and a medical examination.
CBT
The CBT covers analytical and mathematical capability, logical capability, and mental reasoning. The notice gives an illustrative structure of 120 questions in 100 minutes: 60 in analytical and mathematical capability, 20 in logical capability, and 20 in mental reasoning. That distribution is indicative; the notice says the actual paper may vary.
CBAT and merit
CBAT candidates must qualify each test battery, with a minimum T-score of 42 in each battery. The notice states that CBAT has no negative marking. For candidates who qualify in CBAT, merit is calculated using 70% CBT and 30% CBAT weightage.
Document verification and medical examination
Candidates who advance through the tests proceed to document verification and medical examination. Keep relevant qualification, category and other eligibility documents available, and use the applicable RRB notice for the requirements and schedule for your case.
