Why did the authority suspend the licences?
According to the authority’s affidavit as reported by Scroll.in, the suspension followed repeated violations of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945. The report also said the authority had filed a criminal complaint under the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act against Patanjali Ayurved, Ramdev and Balkrishna.
Those were the authority’s stated regulatory grounds and related action. They should not be read as a court finding that each named product was defective, or as evidence that each product failed a quality test. The available reporting does not establish such test results.

What happened to the April suspension?
The action changed through a series of state and court proceedings. The dates matter because the April suspension was later put on hold and cancelled.

Did the Supreme Court ban the products?
No. The April action described in the contemporaneous report was taken by Uttarakhand’s state licensing authority, which regulates manufacturing licences. The Supreme Court was told about that action while considering the state’s response to Patanjali’s misleading advertisements; the reported suspension was not a Supreme Court order banning all Patanjali medicines.
