What to check before applying to a current process
MPESB’s current portal listings include separate processes for 2026. A teacher recruitment or selection process is not the same as a teacher eligibility test; confirm the examination name and notice before beginning an application.
For any currently open notice, verify the details that determine whether it applies to you:
- Department, post category, and post code.
- Eligibility in the relevant rulebook or official notice.
- Application deadline and any separate correction deadline.
- That the process appears on the official ESB portal.
Application requirements and corrections
Official application guidance says a candidate must complete profile eKYC before filling out a form. An email address is required, and applicants should retain their application number after submission.
Corrections are not available indefinitely. The guidance limits them to successfully completed applications paid within the stated submission period, and only during the prescribed correction window. Check the notice for the applicable correction dates.

Why the reported exam date should not be relied on
Scroll’s March 2025 article also gives an examination date beginning March 20, 2024, which conflicts with the article’s publication year. Because of that apparent year mismatch, do not use that date to plan; consult an official notice for the relevant examination schedule.
