The 2024 notification set out the eligibility, exam, selection process and pay, while a selection document dated 6 November 2024 lists 200 selected candidates.
Is LIC HFL Junior Assistant registration still open?
No. Applications and fee payments were accepted from 25 July through 14 August 2024. The word “today” in the original headline referred to the final day of that application window, not to a current deadline. The 2024 recruitment cycle is over.

The application was submitted online through the Careers section of LIC HFL’s website. The historical process required a photograph, signature, left-thumb impression and handwritten English declaration; signatures in capital letters were not accepted. Applicants also paid the fee online. These were requirements for the closed 2024 cycle, not current application instructions.
How many vacancies were there in each state?
The 2024 notice advertised 200 state-wise Junior Assistant vacancies. It said the number could increase or decrease before final selection depending on actual vacancies and the number of successful candidates after interview.

Selection was state-wise and merit-based. Applicants could choose one vacancy state; the exam could be held in a different state, while the interview was to be held in the vacancy state. Posting was preferably in that state, subject to business requirements and suitability.
What were the eligibility requirements?
Eligibility was assessed as of 1 July 2024. Candidates had to be Indian citizens aged 21 to 28. The notification’s inclusive birth-date range was 2 July 1996 through 1 July 2003.

- A graduate degree in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate from a government-recognized university or equivalent. The final degree result had to be declared by 1 July 2024.
- Correspondence, distance and part-time courses were not accepted.
- Operating and working knowledge of computers was mandatory, shown through a relevant computer qualification or computer/IT study.
- Work experience was preferred, but the notice did not make it mandatory.
What was the exam pattern and selection process?
The online multiple-choice exam lasted two hours, was conducted in English only and had five sections, with 40 questions and 40 marks in each section.

A wrong answer carried a penalty of one-quarter of the marks assigned to that question; unanswered questions were not penalized.

Candidates who ranked sufficiently high in the exam could be called for interview, subject to eligibility and document checks. The notification said final merit would combine online exam and interview marks, subject to minimum interview marks. Selected candidates also had to pass a medical examination.
What pay did the 2024 notice list?
The notification’s monthly total emoluments varied by city category. These are figures from the 2024 notice, not guidance on current compensation.

The totals included basic pay, house rent allowance, other benefits and the employer’s provident fund contribution. The notice also listed mediclaim, gratuity, group insurance, housing loan and performance-linked incentive eligibility under applicable rules.

The notice described duties including loan processing; moving and scanning files and documents; data entry; following up on regular or default EMI cases; recovery work; customer service; cash-counter management; returning documents; and basic marketing. These were examples of possible duties, not a guarantee that each employee handled every task.

Has the final result been released?
The selection document is dated 6 November 2024 and identifies 200 selected candidates in its Table A. FreeJobAlert’s result page was updated on 7 November 2024 with a final-result label. The document is hosted by a third party, so the date and candidate count are best understood as details from that dated document and the secondary result-page update.
