The Times of India also divided the vacancies into 1,269 regular NKK posts, 15 backlog NKK posts, 206 regular KK posts and 2 backlog KK posts. The report uses the labels “NKK” and “KK”; their definitions are not established here, so they should not be read as geographic or eligibility explanations.
What were the reported qualifications and age limit?
Scroll’s recruitment summary listed a relevant engineering degree for AE posts, a relevant engineering diploma for JE posts, and Class 12 for Junior Assistant. It reported an age range of 18–35, with upper-age relaxation for reserved categories.

What was the reported application fee and application process?
Scroll reported an application fee of ₹600, or ₹350 for SC/ST candidates. These are reported figures rather than independently verified fee rules from the official notice.
According to Scroll’s summary, applicants used the KPTCL website, selected the 2022 recruitment and relevant post, completed the application form, uploaded documents, paid the fee and submitted the form. Applicants were advised to save or print a copy. This describes the past process; it is not a currently available application route.

News reports conflict on the deadline. A January 25, 2022, Times of India report said registration began February 7 and the online application deadline was February 28. Scroll’s February 8 report said applications could be submitted until March 9. An earlier Scroll article said applications would start February 7 but gave January 28 as a deadline in one passage, an apparent internal inconsistency.
The linked detailed official notification was not available for verification in the reporting used here. The exact authoritative closing date therefore remains unresolved. In any case, all reported dates are in 2022 and the application period is over.
How were candidates selected?
The Times of India described selection as a written examination followed by a personal interview. The available reporting does not establish the syllabus, exam pattern, marks, qualifying thresholds, interview weightage or final merit formula. Those details should not be inferred from a different KPTCL recruitment cycle.
