There is no verified, current ranking of the richest figure skaters. Publicly circulated estimates conflict, and the sources do not show audited personal accounts or a consistent method. The figures below are best read as claims made by particular publishers—not confirmed net worth or a reliable top ten.

Why there is no defensible top ten

A skater’s medals, visibility, and reported endorsements do not establish personal net worth. Net worth is a snapshot of assets minus liabilities; career earnings or a single year’s income measure something different. The published estimates below cannot be compared as though they were produced under one standard.

No reviewed primary source disclosed a current top-ten ranking. The available figures have different publication dates and descriptions, and some are explicitly hypothetical or non-definitive. The list title is therefore a useful search phrase, not proof that these are the ten wealthiest skaters.

What published estimates say about individual skaters

These examples show the disagreement in public estimates. They are not ranked: the sources do not establish a consistent, comparable basis for ordering them.

Kim Yuna USD 10 million Alux, 2015; older list attributing the figure to Celebrity Net Worth. It is not a current ranking.
Nancy Kerrigan USD 8 million Alux, 2015; older list attributing the figure to Celebrity Net Worth. It is not a current ranking.
Yuzuru Hanyu USD 5 million MoneySnoop, estimate last updated July 2025; the page labels it a “Hypothetical Estimate.”
Yuna Kim USD 30 million RichestLifeStyle.com, 2025; described as an inflation-adjusted estimate. The page cautions that public-source figures are not definitive.

Kim Yuna and Yuna Kim are the same skater. The 2015 Alux list’s USD 10 million estimate and RichestLifeStyle.com’s 2025 USD 30 million estimate conflict; the latter describes its figure as inflation-adjusted. Neither establishes her actual wealth, and the difference cannot be resolved from these estimates alone.

Official prize money is not personal net worth

The International Skating Union (ISU) approved total prize-money budgets of USD 5.4 million for the 2025/26 season, USD 11.1 million for 2026/27, and USD 12 million for 2027/28. These are organization-wide season budgets—not amounts paid to one skater, lifetime earnings, or individual net worth. The ISU’s August 2026 announcement further says USD 3.54 million of the increased 2026/27 purse would be event-based, with the remaining distribution tied to world rankings over three-year periods.

Prize money is only one potential source of income, and a budget does not disclose what any athlete earns or retains after expenses, taxes, or other obligations. It cannot validate a net-worth estimate.

How to read a skater net-worth claim

  • Check the date. A figure from 2015 is not a current ranking, and an update date does not itself verify the estimate.
  • Check what is being measured. Annual earnings, career earnings, prize money, and net worth are different measures; do not compare them as equivalents.
  • Look for the method and evidence. The estimates here do not provide audited personal accounts or a common calculation basis. Where a source calls a number hypothetical or non-definitive, that qualification matters.
  • Treat exact amounts cautiously. A precise dollar figure can still be an unsupported estimate. Public visibility or athletic results alone cannot establish assets and liabilities.

Until comparable, reliable personal financial disclosures exist, no source-grounded answer can identify the ten richest figure skaters or settle any skater’s exact net worth.
