Turki Alalshikh’s public career and sports investments are documented, but his personal net worth is not. He has held senior Saudi government and sports roles and been associated with Pyramids FC, UD Almería and The Ring magazine. The available sources do not establish how much he earned from those activities or verify the widely repeated $2.8 billion estimate. Reports linking him to Millwall or Sheffield Wednesday likewise do not establish a takeover.
What is Turki Alalshikh’s net worth?
No verified published figure for Alalshikh’s personal wealth is established by the available sources. An article updated by SportsCasting on 18 September 2025 gives an estimate of $2.8 billion, but the cited passage does not explain an asset calculation, identify underlying financial filings or point to a reliable primary source. It should be treated as an unverified estimate, not a confirmed net-worth figure. Saudipedia’s biography and reporting by BBC Sport and Sky Sports document public roles and business activity, but do not calculate his personal wealth.
That distinction matters: a prominent role in government-backed entertainment or boxing events does not show that the official personally owns the budgets involved, receives their total value or profits from them. The sources do not provide audited personal accounts, salary disclosures or a breakdown of Alalshikh’s assets and liabilities. The SportsCasting estimate is therefore not enough to establish a defensible total.
How did Turki Alalshikh make his money?
Public records outline a career and a number of sports-related investments, but they do not trace his personal income or show what share of his wealth came from any one source.

Government and sports administration roles
Saudipedia reports that Alalshikh studied at King Fahd Security College, graduated as a lieutenant in 2001, worked in several Ministry of Interior sectors, and served in the Riyadh Emirate and Ministry of Defense before becoming an adviser at the Royal Court. It identifies him as a Royal Court adviser at ministerial rank and chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) since 2018. It does not disclose his compensation or personal assets.
Saudipedia also records his appointment to chair the General Sport Authority in 2017 and credits his period leading the GEA with initiatives and events including Riyadh Season. BBC Sport describes him as a figurehead behind high-profile boxing in Saudi Arabia. Those facts establish public influence and involvement—not ownership of public event budgets or the amount of private income he received.

Club investments and The Ring
Alalshikh’s documented sports activity includes Egyptian club Pyramids FC and Spanish club UD Almería. Saudipedia says he held shares in Pyramids FC and invested in Almería. Sky Sports reported that he bought Almería in a £20 million deal in summer 2019 and that ownership transferred to Saudi investment group SMC in May 2025. The report does not disclose the sale proceeds or whether he made a profit or loss. Sky Sports’ coverage therefore supports the purchase price and transfer, but not a calculation of his gain.
Saudipedia says Alalshikh finalized a deal to acquire The Ring magazine, announced on 12 November 2024. The source gives no purchase price or subsequent financial performance. Neither this acquisition nor the club activity can be translated into a personal net-worth total from the information available. Saudipedia’s biography records the holdings and deal, not their financial returns.

Is Turki Alalshikh buying Millwall or Sheffield Wednesday?
The reports describe different kinds of contact, and neither establishes that Alalshikh completed a takeover. An approach or conversation is not the same as a formal bid; a bid is not completed ownership.
| Club | What was reported | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Millwall | Sky Sports reported on 22 May 2025 that English clubs, including Championship clubs, had approached Alalshikh about investment. Millwall was linked to reported interest. | The reporting does not establish a formal offer, agreed transaction or completed ownership. Sky Sports also said he had not previously invested in English football. Sky Sports |
| Sheffield Wednesday | The link was reported as former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan suggesting the club to Alalshikh; the account said Alalshikh did not want a northern club. | This is not a verified bid or takeover attempt by Alalshikh. BBC Sport’s 3 September 2025 analysis of Wednesday’s takeover turmoil discussed sale efforts and other offers without identifying him as a bidder. BBC Sport |
Confirmed investment conversations elsewhere illustrate why the wording matters. On 16 October 2025, BBC Sport quoted Bristol City CEO Tom Rawcliffe: “Yes, we had conversations with him [Alalshikh] and we are up for investment but it has to be the right investment.” BBC Sport also noted that Alalshikh had denied an earlier report that he was close to buying the club. The quote confirms conversations at Bristol City; it does not confirm a purchase or prove the Millwall or Sheffield Wednesday reports. BBC Sport
