ATSG announced it completed its combination with Evolve IP on October 31, 2024. CRN reported the resulting managed service provider had 1,000 employees; ATSG’s announcement did not give an employee count. The combined company later adopted the XTIUM name, while Evolve IP continued as a brand in EMEA.
What the combination created
ATSG described the transaction as joining its infrastructure-oriented managed services with Evolve IP’s cloud communications and workplace services. The companies positioned the combined portfolio as a broader offer for organizations managing interconnected IT needs—not as a change to a consumer product or service.
In its October 31, 2024 completion announcement, ATSG reported more than $230 million in revenue, over 950,000 end-users, and 1,700 global customers. ATSG also said most combined revenue came from monthly recurring revenue under long-term contracts. These are company-reported transaction figures, not audited post-combination results.
CRN’s October 2024 coverage gave a different scale snapshot: about $240 million in revenue and 1,000 employees. The employee figure is from CRN, not ATSG’s release; its revenue estimate also differs from the company’s reported figure. The figures should remain attributed to their respective sources rather than treated as reconciled totals.

How the service portfolios were positioned
| Company at the time of the combination | Capabilities emphasized |
|---|---|
| ATSG | Infrastructure-centric managed services, including cloud, networks, IT operations, and cybersecurity. |
| Evolve IP | Cloud communications, unified communications, contact-center services, and desktop-as-a-service. |
The companies presented these capabilities as complementary: ATSG brought infrastructure and operations services, while Evolve IP added communications, contact-center, and desktop-as-a-service offerings. Their stated rationale was to broaden the managed-services portfolio and address more of customers’ connected technology needs. That rationale is the companies’ positioning, not independently measured evidence of post-combination customer outcomes.
Evolve IP CEO Jeff Coursen told CRN, “Our customers have been asking us for more, especially in security and optimization.” ATSG CEO Russ Reeder likewise described Evolve IP’s desktop-as-a-service, cloud communications, and contact-center solutions as a fit with ATSG’s infrastructure services. These remarks explain the stated strategic logic; they do not establish specific performance results.

From ATSG and Evolve IP to XTIUM
- October 31, 2024: ATSG announced the combination was complete. Its release said ATSG held a controlling majority and named RunTide Capital as its private-equity backer.
- February 11, 2025: The company announced an expanded executive team under CEO Russ Reeder.
- March 18, 2025: XTIUM announced that ATSG had legally changed its name to XTIUM. Evolve IP’s US business adopted the XTIUM brand, while Evolve IP continued as a brand in EMEA.
As a result, the 2024 transaction story and the later brand structure are distinct: the combination was completed under the ATSG and Evolve IP names, and the XTIUM identity followed in 2025.

The available announcements describe the transaction’s reported scale and service mix, but do not provide its consideration, detailed legal terms, audited combined financial statements, or independently verified employee totals. The 1,000-employee figure belongs specifically to CRN’s 2024 report. ATSG’s $230 million-plus revenue figure and CRN’s approximately $240 million estimate are separate source-reported numbers, not a single confirmed accounting result.
