BTSC announced the combined final result for Junior Engineer Advertisement 01/2019 on 4 April 2022, according to contemporaneous reporting. That date is not the end of the record: the Bihar Technical Service Commission’s result archive lists revised results, department allocations and candidate recommendations dated 2024 and 2025. Check the latest archive notice for your discipline and category rather than relying on a copy of the 2022 list.
Which BTSC JE recruitment does this result refer to?
This is Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) Advertisement 01/2019 for Junior Engineer posts in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines. BTSC’s advertisement page gives the registration period as 15 March to 15 April 2019. It is a separate recruitment from the Staff Selection Commission’s Junior Engineer Examination 2019.
Contemporaneous reporting described 6,379 vacancies across the three specializations (Scroll.in, 2022). Treat that figure as a reported total, not as a definitive count established here from the original advertisement.
What happened after the 2022 announcement?
Scroll.in reported that BTSC announced the combined final result on 4 April 2022. The report said merit-list entries included candidates’ names, fathers’ names, registration numbers and other details. The commission later published further records for this advertisement:
#1 Best Overall
- 21 December 2024: category-wise lists.
- 24 December 2024: revised lists and department-allocation records.
- 11 February 2025: recommendations for pending candidates.
- 13 August 2025: another recommendation entry.
These records serve different purposes and may apply to different disciplines, categories or groups of candidates. The archive shows that result-related activity continued after 2022; it does not, by itself, establish the legal status of every list or candidate.
How to find the notice that applies to you
- Open the BTSC official result archive.
- Find entries for Advertisement 01/2019 and confirm that the notice concerns Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical).
- Match the discipline and category or selection quota shown in the notice to your case.
- Check the notice date and purpose. The archive includes category-wise selection lists, revised results, department allocations and recommendations for candidates previously kept pending.
- Open the relevant notice or PDF and search by your name or registration details, if the document supports searching. Do not rely on an older PDF simply because it appears in a result-news article.
The most useful comparison is not “which result is the real one?” but “which dated notice applies to this discipline, category and stage?” A revised list or allocation notice can differ in purpose from the initial combined result.

What about reports that the result was set aside?
An April 2022 news report said the Patna High Court set aside the result and appointments and directed BTSC to prepare a new merit list. That account is secondary reporting; the underlying court order and any later case developments are not established here. BTSC’s archive records later result activity, but that alone does not resolve the legal effect of the reported ruling. For a decision that depends on a candidate’s legal or appointment status, consult the relevant court order and current official notices rather than treating either a news summary or an old result list as conclusive.
