Starbucks advertised: “Buy a Starbucks eGift of $25 or more and get a $5 Starbucks eGift.” The qualifying purchase could be one eGift worth at least $25 or multiple eGifts bought in a single transaction totaling at least $25. Who could qualify, and how
The promotion was open to legal residents of the 50 United States and Washington, D.C. Starbucks limited it to one promotional gift per person and the first 200,000 qualifying customers. Meeting the purchase requirement did not guarantee a bonus if the allotment had already been distributed. A valid email address was required for delivery.
The terms named these qualifying purchase channels: Starbucks.com/gift, the Starbucks app, or iMessage. The purchase had to meet the offer terms; not every Starbucks gift-card purchase qualified.

Does buying a Starbucks gift card on Amazon qualify?
No Amazon purchase channel appears in the promotion terms, so the available terms do not establish that an Amazon Starbucks card purchase qualified. How the promotional $5 eGift could be used
Starbucks said qualifying customers would receive the bonus at the email address they provided, along with redemption instructions. The company said unclaimed gifts, gifts returned as undeliverable, and gifts affected by certain email or communication failures would not be resent. Under the offer terms, the $5 value was for use at participating Starbucks stores, was not transferable, and could not be exchanged for cash except where required by law.
