That model was the starting point for Dropship, the ecommerce software business he founded with his brother, Nawras Ganim.
What is dropshipping?
In Josef Ganim’s explanation, dropshipping is a way to sell through an online store without first buying and storing the inventory yourself. After a customer places an order, the seller purchases the item from another company, which ships it directly to the customer. The arrangement changes how a seller handles stock and fulfillment; it does not remove the need to choose products and operate a store.
The explanation comes from an interview with Apsters Media. The available interview material does not establish its exact publication date, so its comments about Dropship’s plans are best understood as a historical snapshot rather than a statement of what the company intends to do now.
What did the Ganim brothers say Dropship was meant to do?
The brothers described a service intended to help online merchants find products to sell. Josef said its AI would help merchants identify products, while Nawras described weekly product drops—recommendations of products merchants might consider adding to their stores. They said they had begun working on the project in June, and Josef said product drops were planned for early 2021. Those were plans expressed in the interview; the available sources do not verify whether that particular rollout happened on schedule.

What did Nawras later report about the company?
In a later first-person LinkedIn post, Nawras wrote: “In 2020, my brother and I launched Dropship with nothing but our E-commerce experience and a lot of determination.” He said that four years later the business had become an “8-figure SaaS company” with “15+” employees across six countries. Those are founder-reported figures, not independently audited results.
How does the current Dropship.io site describe its tools?
The company’s current website describes a broader collection of tools than the early interview’s focus on product discovery and weekly recommendations. Dropship.io presents tools for product and ad research, sales tracking, product and shop libraries, and competitor research. The site also shows a free-trial entry point. These are the company’s own descriptions of its service; they do not establish independent performance results or comparative superiority over other tools.
That distinction matters when reading the interview today: Josef’s definition explains the business model, the brothers’ interview describes an early product concept, Nawras’s post gives his account of later company growth, and the website presents the vendor’s current tool offering.
