The tracking page shows the latest status and any available delivery estimate. Amazon does not guarantee that every consumer shipment will show an exact arrival time.
Check your order’s delivery estimate
- Sign in to the same Amazon marketplace where you placed the order.
- Open Your Orders and find the order.
- Select Track package. Choose All updates to see available delivery updates and any tracking number. Amazon’s tracking help explains where to find this information.
Use the displayed Arriving date or estimate as the best current guide, not a guaranteed appointment. Amazon says the status “Out for delivery” means the package will be delivered today; it does not promise a particular hour for every order. A delivery time window is also not universal: Amazon’s Business Package Tracking API describes a window as optional in its business-integration context, not as a feature available on every retail shipment.
Why you may not see a precise time or tracking details
A package may not have tracking information before it ships, and some shipments are not trackable. Amazon notes that some standard international deliveries may not provide tracking. If Track package is missing, check the order’s Arriving date or estimate and check again after shipment; an unavailable button does not by itself mean the order is lost. Amazon’s tracking guidance and its specialized proof and author copy guidance describe these limitations.
If Amazon lists a carrier, check the carrier’s tracking page or notifications for any additional details. The amount of information depends on the shipment and carrier; carrier tracking may add updates, but it does not necessarily provide an exact arrival hour. Amazon recommends checking carrier notifications when a delivery is late. Track package and late-delivery guidance are the relevant starting points.

What to do if the package is late
- Refresh Track package for the latest status and check any carrier notifications.
- If the estimated delivery date has passed, allow up to 48 hours for an unexpected delay before treating the package as missing. Amazon lists weather, heavy traffic, holiday demand, customs, and operational problems as possible causes.
- If it still has not arrived, use the order’s tracking page to contact the carrier or reach Amazon or the seller, as appropriate. See Amazon’s late-delivery guidance.
What to do if tracking says “delivered” but you cannot find it
A delivery scan may appear before the package physically arrives. Amazon recommends allowing 48 hours after a delivered status, then checking these possibilities:
- Confirm that the shipping address on the order is correct.
- Look for a delivery-attempt notice or delivery photo, if available, and check the requested drop-off location and other likely places around the address.
- Ask household members or neighbors whether they accepted or moved the package.
- If it remains missing, contact the carrier or Amazon or the seller, as appropriate.
These steps follow Amazon’s late-delivery guidance and its instructions for a package marked delivered but not received.
