Airports Authority of India (AAI) listed a 130-post Graduate/Diploma/ITI apprenticeship notification for its Eastern Region on 10 January 2024. It is a historical notice, not a currently open application in October 2026. The accessible dashboard entry does not establish the deadline or the detailed eligibility and selection terms, so applicants should not rely on details from a different AAI recruitment.
Is the AAI 130-post apprentice application still open?
No current application is established by the verified AAI listing. The recruitment dashboard dates the 130-post Eastern Region entry to 10 January 2024, making it a historical notification rather than an application confirmed open in October 2026. The listing does not provide a verified last date for this intake.
For the current status of any new AAI apprenticeship, check the AAI Recruitment Dashboard and open the specific notification. A past listing or a search-result title is not evidence that applications are still being accepted.
What is confirmed about the 130 posts?
AAI’s dashboard identifies a 2023–24 notification for 130 Graduate, Diploma and ITI apprentices in the Eastern Region, posted and updated on 10 January 2024. The accessible listing confirms the post count and region, but not the substantive terms of the original advertisement.

Which details are not verified for this intake?
The accessible dashboard entry does not establish the Eastern Region intake’s discipline-wise vacancies, required qualifications, age limit, stipend, deadline, selection process or application instructions. Those terms should be taken from the original 130-post notification, not inferred from another AAI apprenticeship. In particular, the evidence available for this entry does not confirm whether applicants had a domicile restriction or which portal they had to use.
Why the Kolkata apprentice notice is different
AAI separately advertised 35 apprentices for NSCBI Airport, Kolkata, under an FY 2024–25 notice. That intake required West Bengal domicile and had a 31 December 2024 application deadline, which has passed. It is not the 130-post Eastern Region notification, and its terms cannot be treated as the terms for those 130 posts.

What the separate Kolkata notice said
The following details are for the 35-post Kolkata intake only. They do not confirm eligibility, pay or process for the 130-post Eastern Region notice.
- Training and domicile: One year at NSCBI Airport, Kolkata; applicants had to be Indian nationals domiciled in West Bengal.
- Qualification categories: Regular four-year engineering degree for graduate apprentices, regular three-year engineering diploma for diploma apprentices, and a relevant NCVT certificate for ITI trade apprentices.
- Age: 18–26 as of 31 December 2024, with stated category-based relaxations under Government of India guidelines. Eligibility was also limited by qualification completion year; the notice should be consulted for the precise conditions.
- Monthly stipend: ₹15,000 for graduate apprentices, ₹12,000 for diploma apprentices and ₹9,000 for ITI trade apprentices. The notice described government DBT shares for the graduate and diploma amounts.
- Application route: Graduate and diploma applicants were directed to NATS/BOPT; ITI trade applicants to NAPS/RDAT. The notice said only applications through the relevant online portals would be considered.
- Selection: Provisional selection was based on qualifying-examination marks. Shortlisted candidates could be called for interview and document verification; final selection included certificate checks and a medical fitness certificate at joining.
- Fee and employment: The notice stated that there was no application fee and no obligation for AAI to provide regular employment after the apprenticeship.
AAI’s Kolkata FY 2024–25 notice stated: “Airports Authority of India has no obligation to give regular employment to Apprentices.” That statement describes the apprenticeship arrangement in that notice; it is not a promise of employment or evidence about the outcome of a different intake.

How to check a future AAI apprenticeship notice
- Open AAI’s Recruitment Dashboard.
- Find the entry matching the region, airport and recruitment year you are considering; do not assume that a similarly named apprenticeship is the same intake.
- Open the linked original advertisement and verify the vacancy breakdown, qualifications, age cutoff, domicile rules, stipend, application portal, deadline and selection stages.
- Use only the application route and dates stated in that specific notice. If the linked advertisement is unavailable or a deadline has passed, do not assume that applications remain open.
