Dragan Šolak publicly rejected rumours that he was selling Southampton in a BBC interview published on 19 June 2025. He said he could consider a partner investing alongside him if that person shared his vision for the club. The available sources do not establish that Turki Alalshikh has expressed interest, made an offer or opened talks.
Is Southampton FC up for sale?
Šolak said he was not selling Southampton when asked about sale rumours in the BBC’s 19 June 2025 interview. The BBC quoted him: “I love the club and have no intention of parting with Southampton anytime soon.” That was his stated position at the time, not a permanent guarantee or confirmation that no private approach could follow. Has Turki Alalshikh made an offer for Southampton?
No reliable report or primary source in the available material establishes that Alalshikh is interested in buying Southampton. There is no substantiated offer, contact or negotiation to report. The claim should therefore be treated as unverified, rather than as a confirmed takeover development.
