Start in Your Orders: open the order’s Order Details and look for a Change option beside the information Amazon lets you edit. The option is not available for every order. Amazon’s general order-editing guidance applies to orders that have not yet dispatched; grocery deliveries and large-item appointments follow separate rules.
Change an eligible order before it dispatches
- Sign in to the Amazon account used to place the order and open Your Orders.
- Select Order Details for the order.
- Look for Change beside the order information you want to update. If an appropriate option appears, follow the on-screen steps and confirm the change.
- If you are using a phone and cannot find the option, check Amazon.com in a desktop browser. Amazon says desktop may offer more order-change choices than mobile.
Amazon’s Change Your Order Information guidance says customers can update information on orders that have not yet been dispatched. It does not guarantee that every order will have a delivery-date control.
What to do if the option is missing or the order has dispatched
If Order Details has no relevant Change option, use the help or contact route available for that order and explain the scheduling conflict. The available choices depend on the order, and neither Amazon nor the carrier is guaranteed to be able to move the delivery date.
Once an ordinary parcel has dispatched, Amazon’s general instructions for editing orders that have not dispatched no longer apply. Check the current tracking page and the order-specific help options; there is no universal rescheduling method established for every dispatched parcel.

For an ordinary seller-fulfilled order, an Amazon staff response in Seller Forums says the seller’s delivery promise cannot be changed after placement. That response concerns seller-fulfilled delivery promises and should not be treated as a rule for every order type. See “Need help changing delivery window?”.
Check the right process for your order type

Grocery delivery: reschedule before preparation
For an eligible upcoming Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, or third-party merchant grocery order that has not yet been prepared, open it in Your Orders and select Reschedule your order. Choose from the available delivery slots or pickup times and confirm the new time. Preparation status and actual slot availability determine whether this option appears. Large third-party deliveries: coordinate the appointment
Amazon describes two appointment workflows for large items sold and shipped by third-party sellers. With arranged delivery, the seller contacts you to agree on a date and time. With scheduled delivery, you choose a date and time at checkout. If you need to change an appointment afterward, contact the seller or use the order’s available contact option; Amazon’s large-item ordering guidance does not promise a self-service edit after checkout.

Amazon Day is a delivery preference for eligible orders, not a general control for moving the date of an existing parcel. Amazon lists restrictions that include third-party seller orders and some item categories, and says Amazon Day is unavailable for PO boxes and addresses outside the contiguous United States. Amazon Business delivery preferences cover settings such as preferred delivery times and Amazon Day. They are not documented as a way to change the date of an arbitrary order already placed. Amazon’s Delivery Preferences Training describes those preference settings.
