Bell’s 16th annual Let’s Talk Day took place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, and is over. Bell has announced that the 17th annual event will be held on January 26, 2027. The 2026 campaign focused on taking a moment for mental health and encouraged individual, interpersonal and community actions.
What was the 2026 theme?
Bell framed the 2026 edition around “taking a moment for mental health.” The campaign encouraged people to pause for their own well-being, reach out to someone else and recognize mental health as a wider community concern. Bell pointed to activities including school assemblies, sharing personal stories, learning and listening. Bell’s announcement for the 16th annual day describes the theme and campaign.
What did taking a moment look like?
In its event-day announcement, Bell suggested breathing exercises, time in nature, a digital detox and expressing gratitude. Bell said these moments can help build resilience, reduce stress and anxiety, foster social connection and improve mood. Those are benefits asserted by the campaign, not findings from an independent clinical review.
Bell also described a community focus for the 2026 campaign, which reached more than 200 universities, colleges and CEGEPs and included close to 200 varsity and collegiate games, according to Bell’s event-day release.

Bell’s 2025 announcement said it would commit $10 million toward Canadian mental-health initiatives in 2026. In the same announcement, Bell reported a cumulative investment of $194 million since the initiative began in 2010, said programs it funded had provided access to mental-health services for more than 6.95 million Canadians, and reported supporting more than 1,500 organizations. These are Bell’s campaign figures; they are not independently audited measures or national mental-health outcomes.
