Creators set a price for a Series, and viewers can buy access from the creator’s profile or through a link in a TikTok video. The feature was announced in March 2023; TikTok’s current Help Center pages describe the eligibility, format, pricing and payout rules.
What TikTok Series is
TikTok describes Series as a way for eligible creators to put a collection of premium content behind a paywall and get paid for access. A Series can be found on the creator’s profile or linked from a video, giving viewers a route to purchase the collection without leaving TikTok.
TikTok announced Series on March 7, 2023, initially describing availability in select regions. That launch post is useful for the feature’s history, but current eligibility and format details are better taken from TikTok’s Help Center. Its reviewed pages do not provide a definitive country-by-country availability list, so creators should check whether the feature is available to them in TikTok Studio.
Who can apply to create a Series
TikTok’s current eligibility guidance says applicants generally must meet all of these conditions:

- Be at least 18 years old, or 19 in South Korea.
- Have an account that is at least 30 days old.
- Use a public Personal or Business Account. Private and political accounts are excluded.
- Have published at least three public posts in the preceding 30 days.
- Have at least 10,000 followers and at least 1,000 views in the preceding 30 days.
- Post original content and maintain an account in good standing, without repeated Community Guidelines violations.
Applying with fewer than 10,000 followers
Creators below the 10,000-follower threshold may still apply if they meet the other stated requirements and provide, through TikTok Studio, a link to premium content they have previously sold on another platform. TikTok reviews applications; providing the example content does not guarantee approval.
Series length, video limits and pricing
TikTok Support currently says a Series can contain up to 80 videos, each between 30 seconds and 20 minutes long. The 30-second minimum is part of the current Help Center specification; TikTok’s 2023 launch announcement described the 80-video maximum and 20-minute maximum but did not state that minimum.

Creators choose from TikTok’s listed prices, which range from $0.99 to $189.99. The selected price cannot be changed once the Series is published. These are price options, not a promise of earnings: creator income depends on purchases and TikTok’s applicable terms.
How creators make and publish a Series
TikTok allows creators to create and submit a Series through the app or a browser. Submissions are reviewed against TikTok’s Community Guidelines; TikTok’s creation guide says review may take up to 72 hours, depending on the length of the content.

- Open TikTok Studio and start the Series application or creation flow, if available for your account.
- Assemble the premium videos within the current limit of 80 videos, with each video 30 seconds to 20 minutes long.
- Select a price from the available range and submit the Series for review.
- After publication, direct viewers to it from your profile or link it from a TikTok video.
How Series payouts work
TikTok says Series payouts are based on the number of access purchases. On the first day of each month, creators are notified about the previous month’s accumulated payout. If the Series balance reaches $50, or the local equivalent, TikTok says it automatically sends payment on the 15th.
Before payment, creators need to set up or link PayPal, complete the required tax information and verify their identity. VAT invoice requirements may also apply in some jurisdictions. Because payment rules and prices can change, check TikTok’s current payment guidance before setting a price or relying on a particular payment date.

What to consider before charging viewers
- Approval is separate from eligibility. Meeting the listed criteria or applying through the lower-follower route does not mean TikTok will approve a Series.
- The price is fixed after publication. Choose a price with the understanding that TikTok says it cannot be changed once the Series is posted.
- Revenue depends on sales. The stated price is not the creator’s guaranteed take-home amount; payout totals are based on purchases and applicable terms.
- Availability is not fully mapped in the reviewed guidance. TikTok’s 2023 announcement referenced select regions, while its current reviewed support pages do not list every eligible country.
