The most expensive Gucci item commonly named in published rankings is a bespoke diamond-and-platinum belt attributed to designer Stuart Hughes, with reports placing its price at $249,000 or $250,000. But “ever sold” overstates what the available evidence establishes: the figures below come mainly from listicles, not verified transaction records. Treat them as reported prices, not a definitive ranking of confirmed sales.
What the reported prices show—and what they do not
Luxatic’s list, updated March 22, 2022, gives ten Gucci-related items and stated prices. Wealthy Gorilla published a different list on April 8, 2023, with overlapping entries but some different descriptions and values. Neither list supplies transaction records establishing that each item sold at the listed price. The table therefore reproduces Luxatic’s stated prices and ranking, rather than presenting verified final sale amounts.

Why the belt’s price is disputed
The belt is not a standard Gucci belt model. Secondary reports describe a custom piece associated with Stuart Hughes and Goldstriker International, commissioned for an anonymous client, with a platinum buckle set with 30 carats of diamonds. Worthly reported in 2014 that it sold for $249,000; Financial Express reported a $249,000 commission in 2013. Later rankings round the amount to $250,000.

Those reports are not primary maker records or transaction documents. The buyer, exact transaction date and final amount paid are not confirmed by the available sources. The $1,000 gap between the contemporary reports and later rounded rankings is another reason not to describe $250,000 as a settled exact sale price.
Why other published rankings differ
Wealthy Gorilla’s April 8, 2023 ranking overlaps with Luxatic’s but is not identical. For example, it lists a woven leather boot at number ten for $3,750, rather than Luxatic’s Princetown loafer at $2,600. Its entries and figures should not be combined with Luxatic’s to create a single supposedly authoritative ranking: the lists use different selections and do not establish a common, transaction-verified basis.

More broadly, the available figures mix descriptions of bespoke work and product prices, and generally lack item-specific evidence of completed sales. There is no verified market-wide statistic or complete auction ranking here. A high listed price does not by itself show that a buyer paid that amount, or that an item is currently available for purchase.

Use the table as a guide to items that published articles have described as especially expensive, not as a current price list or proof of resale value. The custom belt is particularly easy to confuse with an ordinary Gucci belt; the reported $249,000–$250,000 figure concerns the bespoke diamond-and-platinum buckle piece, not the standard belt category. For a regular product search, “Gucci leather belt” is a more useful reference, but it does not refer to the bespoke item.
