The Black Friday gaming offers described for 2025 have expired: the advertised PlayStation promotion began November 21, Nintendo’s Cyber Deals ended December 3, and Xbox’s announced sale offers ran through December 3. As of October 8, 2026, those announcements do not establish that any of the same prices or products are still available. Check a retailer’s live listing for current price, stock, seller and exact model before buying.
What happened to the 2025 Black Friday gaming deals?
The cited offers were limited-time promotions, not continuing discounts. PlayStation’s announcement said its promotion would start November 21, 2025; Nintendo’s US Cyber Deals ran November 20 through December 3, with select physical-game offers starting November 23; and Xbox announced selected offers through December 3. Microsoft Store separately listed its 2025 Black Friday sale as running November 20–29. Those dates have passed.
The original article search result included a snippet for a PS5 at Amazon, but the page could not be retrieved and the snippet does not confirm a current listing, price or stock. A search result is not a live offer. The official announcements below document historical promotions only.

How to tell whether a gaming deal is genuinely available now
For a current purchase, rely on the retailer’s live product page rather than a past announcement, search snippet or old sale price. Verify the complete offer before comparing it with another listing:
- Price and timing: Record the displayed price, any checkout discount, and the promotion’s stated end date. A manufacturer’s former recommended retail price or discount ceiling is not today’s price.
- Stock and seller: Confirm the item can be added to cart and identify who sells and ships it. A product page or search result alone may not establish that it is in stock.
- Exact item: For a console, check edition, storage and included bundle content. For a game, check platform, edition and whether the listing is for a physical copy or a digital code.
- Region and eligibility: Check that the offer applies where you live and that you meet any membership or new-subscriber requirements.
- Total cost: Compare the checkout total, including delivery and any subscription renewal. Do not compare a bundle’s headline price with a standalone console without valuing the included items.
What to check before buying a Switch game or handheld
Nintendo’s announcement provides concrete examples of physical Switch games, including The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, but it does not show that a particular retailer has either game in stock today. Check the current product edition, platform label, seller, price and availability. If you plan to play on Switch 2, check the game’s compatibility information rather than assuming every Switch title is fully compatible.

The cited 2025 announcements also covered categories such as PlayStation Portal, PS VR2, controllers and headsets, but they do not verify current discounts or stock for handhelds and accessories. Assess each exact product listing on its own; do not infer a live deal from a category appearing in an old promotion.

The Xbox announcement’s $1 Game Pass offer was for 14 days and eligible new subscribers, followed by $14.99 per month unless cancelled. It is an expired 2025 offer, not a current sign-up price. For any subscription promotion you encounter now, review eligibility, trial length, renewal price and cancellation terms on the live checkout or service page before enrolling.
