One July list puts Parton at $650 million; another, republished in August, gives $675 million. These are third-party estimates, not verified disclosures of the artists’ assets and debts.
Richest country artists in one 2024 ranking
Legit.ng’s July 11, 2024 ranking places Dolly Parton first, followed by Garth Brooks, Shania Twain and Toby Keith. It says it drew on third-party websites such as Celebrity Net Worth and considered factors including record sales, touring, endorsements and business ventures. The publication does not provide a consistent, publicly verified balance sheet for the artists.

All amounts in this table are estimates attributed to Legit.ng’s July 11, 2024 list. The McGraw-Hill figure is for the couple together, not for either person individually.
Why another 2024 list gives different numbers
Your Georgia Country published a second set of estimates on August 29, 2024, attributing its ranking to Ledgernote. It agrees on Parton’s top position and on several lower-ranked entries, but not on every amount. The two lists should be read as separate estimates, not averaged into a supposed consensus.

The second column reproduces estimates from Legit.ng; the third reproduces estimates in Your Georgia Country’s August 29, 2024 article. The latter is a radio outlet relaying Ledgernote’s ranking, not an independent audit. Neither source establishes that its figures are directly comparable under one shared calculation method.
What “net worth” means—and what these figures do not prove
Net worth is the value of a person’s assets minus liabilities. A public ranking estimate is not the same as a disclosed accounting of those assets and debts. The ranking articles discuss categories that may contribute to wealth—such as music sales, touring, endorsements and businesses—but do not show enough consistent financial detail to calculate a verified total for each artist.

- Record sales or a royalty stream do not, by themselves, establish an artist’s total assets or liabilities.
- Gross concert or tour receipts are not the same as an artist’s take-home income; costs and contractual arrangements matter.
- A business valuation or ownership stake is only one possible part of a broader financial picture.
- Some rankings combine spouses, as these lists do for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, while presenting other entries as individuals.
For scale, Forbes reported $37 million in earnings for Parton over the period covered by its 2017 highest-paid women in music item. That is a dated earnings figure, not her net worth and not a 2024 annual income total: Forbes’ 2017 coverage.

Use each amount with its publisher and date. If you compare lists, check whether the article identifies an underlying source, combines household wealth, and clearly labels the amounts as estimates. Just Jared’s September 20, 2024 article says it ranks country artists by estimated net worth from lowest to highest and names several artists, but the retrieved page text does not expose the slideshow’s figures. It therefore does not support adding another set of numbers to this comparison: Just Jared’s September 20, 2024 ranking.

Parton’s business and creative work provide context for how an artist’s wealth can extend beyond recordings. Forbes later reported that she had a stake in Dollywood and identified her music catalog as another asset; it also noted that Run, Rose, Run was a 2023 novel written with James Patterson. Those details help illustrate possible asset categories, but later valuations should not be backdated to validate a 2024 ranking: Forbes’ later coverage of Parton.
