On those figures, the Hummer EV aggregate trailed by 1,334 vehicles. That makes “almost outselling” a shorthand for a relatively close count, not a like-for-like comparison between two individual models: GM’s total covers both its electric pickup and SUV.
How the Hummer figure changed year over year
GM reported 2,929 HUMMER EV pickup and SUV deliveries in the United States in Q2 2024, compared with 4,508 in Q2 2025—a reported year-over-year increase of 53.9%. Those figures are also combined across the two body styles, according to GM’s sales report.
Why this is not a current sales ranking
The comparison describes one quarter in 2025, not the vehicles’ current relative sales. In the following quarter, Ford said it delivered 10,005 F-150 Lightnings in the United States in Q3 2025, a record and 39.7% more than in Q3 2024, according to Ford’s Q3 sales release.

Ford’s Q2 announcement reported 82,886 electrified-vehicle sales for the quarter and 156,509 for the first half of 2025. Those totals include hybrids and plug-in hybrids as well as electric vehicles; they are not battery-electric sales totals and do not provide the Lightning-specific count in the reviewed passage. What changed in Ford’s Lightning plans
On December 15, 2025, the Associated Press reported that Ford planned to stop making the fully electric F-150 Lightning and offer an extended-range version instead. That is a reported product-plan change, not confirmation of current inventory or retail availability in October 2026. The available sales figures likewise do not establish a current Hummer EV ranking; GM’s Q2 2026 announcement does not provide a Hummer nameplate total in the reviewed text.
