PerthNow reported on 4 November 2024 that The Cray had reopened its Innaloo restaurant after renovations kept it closed for just under two weeks. This was a relaunch of an existing location, not the first opening of The Cray or its Innaloo restaurant.

What changed in the renovation?
The stated aim was to bring Innaloo’s ambience into line with the more modern aesthetic of The Cray’s newer venues and create a consistent experience across locations. General manager Kranti Satuluri told PerthNow the upgrade was intended to make the ambience, food and experience more inviting while retaining the restaurant’s quality, flavours and standards.
The reopening report does not itemise physical changes or give a renovation budget, so it is not possible to say from that account whether particular rooms, furnishings or kitchen facilities were replaced.

What food and awards are associated with The Cray?
PerthNow’s 2024 report described seafood and lobster as central to the restaurant and named The Cray Platter as a crowd favourite. It reported that seafood and lobster were sourced from Geraldton Fisheries Co-operative at that time; that historical sourcing detail does not confirm the restaurant’s current supplier arrangements.
The current Innaloo venue page presents the restaurant as a seafood and grill venue and highlights calamari, Moreton Bay bugs and aged Australian steaks. Menu items and availability can change.
