Articles have attributed models such as an Audi Q5 to her, but they do not provide direct confirmation. The BMW X3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé, by contrast, are documented as vehicles featured in Black Widow—that makes them film cars, not proof of what is in Johansson’s garage.
What cars does Scarlett Johansson own?
The available reporting does not establish a reliable list of Johansson’s current personal cars. A vehicle she drives as Natasha Romanoff, or one associated with a film appearance, is not evidence of personal ownership. Treat reported models as unverified unless supported by direct confirmation or reliable, attributable evidence.
Robb Report en Español’s 2021 article names an Audi Q5 and describes a broader preference for German cars, while attributing its claims to other media rather than to a direct statement from Johansson. VIPFortunes’ 2024 list names a Mercedes-Benz V-Class Viano, Mini Cooper JCW, Audi Q5 and other Mercedes-Benz models, but its Viano discussion explicitly speculates that Johansson must have had one. Neither article substantiates a definitive current collection.
That distinction matters: a reported arrival in a vehicle, a secondhand claim, and confirmed ownership are different things. The cited articles do not provide enough evidence to treat their lists as an audited inventory.

Which cars appear in Black Widow?
BMW’s June 25, 2021 media information identifies the BMW X3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé as vehicles featured in Black Widow. BMW described the film as the X3’s Marvel Cinematic Universe debut and presented both models as part of its collaboration with Marvel Studios. These are documented production vehicles, not confirmed cars owned by Johansson.
BMW also reported that original vehicles from the film were sent to a special exhibition at BMW Welt in Munich around the movie’s 2021 release. That report describes a dated exhibition; it does not establish whether the cars are on display there now.
The Budapest chase’s BMW X3s
Top Gear’s July 16, 2021 behind-the-scenes report says 13 BMW X3s were used or sacrificed for the Budapest chase sequence. It also reports that the main stunt cars had their electronic handbrakes replaced with hydraulically actuated ones. Those modifications relate to filming the chase; they do not describe the standard retail X3 or a car Johansson personally owned.
What about the black Corvette?
In a GamesRadar+ interview about Natasha’s on-screen style and disguise, Johansson said the character “definitely drives a black Corvette.” The context is the fictional character’s design. It is not an ownership claim about Johansson, and it does not establish that the Corvette is part of the documented BMW film-vehicle group.

How to read celebrity car-collection claims
- Look for direct, attributable confirmation. A clear statement from the person or reliable reporting that establishes ownership is stronger than a list repeating claims from other outlets.
- Check what the evidence actually shows. A car used in a film, seen at an event, or driven by a character does not establish private ownership.
- Keep the date attached to the claim. Even a credible report about a vehicle at one time would not by itself establish a current collection.
For Johansson, the sources here support a limited conclusion: some outlets have reported personal-car models, but they do not confirm a current inventory. The better-documented vehicles are associated with Black Widow and its fictional characters.
