Yan Diomande is Real Madrid’s most expensive reported signing as of 8 October 2026: Spanish outlets put his fee at €125 million, with as much as €15 million more in add-ons. The club confirmed his transfer from RB Leipzig and a seven-season contract, but did not disclose the price. This ranking therefore reflects press-reported fees, not a club-certified accounting schedule.
How to read Real Madrid’s reported transfer fees
Transfer-fee rankings can differ because reports may quote a fixed amount, include performance bonuses, or use different estimates and currency conversions. The figures below preserve the basis reported by each source rather than forcing every deal into a single, falsely precise total. A reported fee is not necessarily the amount ultimately paid.
Real Madrid’s official announcement confirms that Yan Diomande joined from RB Leipzig on a contract running through 30 June 2033, but gives no fee. AS reports €125 million fixed, plus up to €15 million in variables; El País reports about €125 million plus up to €15 million. Real Madrid’s announcement confirms the signing and contract term, not the price.

This comparison uses the figures in AS’s 6 August 2026 report where available, while showing add-ons separately. It is a press-reported ranking, not a definitive club ledger.

Why other rankings put the players in a different order
Fixed fee versus bonuses
Diomande’s reported fixed €125 million is below Bellingham’s possible €133.9 million total in AS’s account, but above Bellingham’s reported €103 million fixed fee. El País’s €127 million figure for Bellingham includes extras. A ranking of guaranteed fees can therefore differ from one that counts potential bonuses.

Different estimates for older transfers
Hazard is listed at €100 million by AS and €115 million by TransferNews; Ronaldo is listed at €96 million by AS and €94 million by TransferNews. Since these sources do not establish a common fee method for every transfer, the figures should be attributed rather than treated as an agreed, exact historical total.

A fee ranking measures reported transfer costs, not the full financial or sporting value of a signing. The cited sources do not provide a consistent comparison of player performance, later income, or return on investment. Nor does Real Madrid publish an all-time fee table in the announcements cited here. The club’s official Bellingham announcement, like its Diomande announcement, confirms the transfer but does not state the fee: Real Madrid’s Bellingham announcement.
