StockMock is an online options-analysis platform that advertises strategy backtesting, simulation, strategy building, charts and an option chain. Its Analytics plan is aimed at using those tools; multi-year historical backtests are sold separately under Backtesting. A backtest can help examine how a strategy behaved against past data, but it cannot establish that the strategy will make money live.
What is StockMock?
StockMock presents itself as an options backtesting, simulator, strategy-builder, charts and option-chain service. Its official homepage lists Nifty, Banknifty, Finnifty, Midcpnifty, Sensex and Bankex. It lists F&O stocks only under the Builder feature. The service’s terms identify India as its country of operation. StockMock homepage · Terms and conditions
The homepage describes backtesting as examining a strategy against historical information to assess how it would have performed. StockMock founder Nitish Narang puts it this way: “Backtesting is a study, and study in any field is a must.” That is the founder’s view of the tool, not a claim that historical performance predicts future returns.
What can you do with StockMock?
Backtest options strategies
StockMock’s backtest page advertises performance reports that include maximum drawdown and success rate. It also advertises leg-wise stop loss and profit lock, plus options to factor in slippage, brokerage fees and taxes. These are vendor-described features; their operation and accuracy have not been independently verified here. StockMock backtest features

Simulate and build strategies
The Analytics category lists Simulator and Builder. The homepage says Builder includes F&O stocks, while its other listed instruments are indices. It does not describe multi-year backtesting as part of Analytics; that capability is assigned to the separate Backtesting category.
View charts and the option chain
Charts and Option Chain appear in the Analytics package summary. The Backtesting category, by contrast, is described as providing historical backtests rather than those interactive tools.

StockMock Analytics vs Backtesting plans
The official homepage displayed the following prices and durations on October 8, 2026. The page said 18% GST was additional to each displayed price. This is a dated snapshot, not a guaranteed current price: check StockMock’s live homepage for current terms before subscribing.
| Plan category | What the homepage lists | Displayed subscription options (October 8, 2026) | GST |

| Analytics | Simulator, Builder, Charts and Option Chain. Multi-year backtesting in one click is excluded and requires a Backtesting plan. The page lists Nifty, Banknifty, Sensex, Finnifty, Midcpnifty and Bankex; F&O stocks are listed for Builder only. | ₹349 for 30 days; ₹1,599 for 180 days; ₹2,599 for 360 days. | 18% additional, as displayed on the homepage. |
| Backtesting | Single and multiple multi-year backtests for the listed indices. Simulator, Builder and Charts are excluded and require an Analytics plan. | ₹449 for 7 days; ₹1,299 for 28 days; ₹2,999 for 84 days. | 18% additional, as displayed on the homepage. |
These categories serve different needs: choose Analytics if you want the listed simulator, builder, charts or option-chain features; choose Backtesting if your main requirement is historical multi-year runs. The homepage describes the categories as separate, so do not assume buying one includes the other’s tools. Confirm the instrument list and exact inclusions on the checkout page, especially if you need F&O stocks or a particular index. Check StockMock’s current plans

What does StockMock backtesting data tell you?
StockMock’s terms say its backtests use one-minute OHLC data (open, high, low and close). The terms also caution that analysis and optimization depend on past-data modeling and vendor data, and that results may differ from real-time outcomes. Free credits cover the latest one month of data; the Backtesting plan covers historical data available on StockMock. The terms do not establish a fixed historical window, so check the platform for the data period available for the instrument and strategy you intend to test. StockMock terms and conditions
A backtest is evidence about a modeled strategy under particular historical data and assumptions—not a promise of future returns or proof of live-trading performance. Costs, slippage, data quality, strategy logic and system issues can all affect the result. Even when a report includes a cost adjustment or a risk metric, examine how the assumptions are applied and independently assess the strategy before risking capital. StockMock itself acknowledges that data, logic and system issues can occur in its terms.

How should you interpret StockMock’s user and backtest counts?
StockMock’s homepage has published dated milestones for users and completed backtests. The figures below are company-reported, not independently audited, and the page provides no newer dated milestone in the material available for this article.
| Reported date | Users | Backtests |
|---|---|---|
| December 2021 | 90K+ | 50L+ |
| December 2022 | 210K+ | 130L+ |
| December 2023 | 330K+ | 210L+ |
These milestones indicate the scale StockMock reported at those dates; they do not show that a strategy is profitable, that results are independently validated, or that the service’s current user count is the same. StockMock homepage
